Chapter 5 - Deva's trail inflitrated

Sachin's cry of horror echoed through the forest, "The Midnightshadow Panther!"

Sachin's fascination with dark beasts had been a peculiar hobby, a secret passion he had nurtured over the years. He delved into their lore, absorbed their details with fervor, and now, he identified this creature in an instant.

Karna, hearing the name, was flooded with memories of his master's teachings about dark, red-horned beasts. MidnightShadow Panthers were supposed to be purple-horned, but the crimson horns of this creature puzzled him. He nodded grimly, acknowledging the impending challenge.

"It's going to be a brutal fight. Be prepared to retreat if necessary," Sachin said with alertness, his voice edged with tension.

"Indeed, this battle will test us to our limits. We must endure it. Our destiny lies beyond this trial, and failing is not an option. We need to awaken a powerful weapon spirit," Karna agreed, his gaze unwavering as he shared his thoughts with the group.

The elder, watching from afar, couldn't help but mutter to himself, "These young souls are truly unfortunate."

In a dark cave not far away, a shadowy figure with a human-like apparition muttered in amusement, "Ah, they've disturbed my slumber once more. And they've bested a red one? How intriguing. This shall be quite entertaining."

Karna, wielding his 'ponthi,' assumed a fighting stance, his heart heavy with the burden of protecting his friends. He remembered his master's wisdom: "Even in danger, one must look after their companions to conquer the darkness." With a sweeping glance, he assessed the readiness of his comrades.

Sachin gripped his parcha broadsword, Deeru clutched his Kuruvadi, and Anurag tightened his grasp on the pattari, a short sword. Their eyes met briefly, conveying a silent message: "If we survive this, we can face the Deva's Trial with unwavering confidence."

The Midnightshadow Panther, an embodiment of dark energy, launched its assault, leaving the young warriors no room for hesitation. Sachin, the first to engage, braced himself for impact as the panther's claws resonated with a menacing hum. The ground beneath them quaked, a grim testament to the beast's power. Sachin's arms trembled as he blocked the fearsome strike with his parcha broadsword.

Karna, swift and determined, tried to outmaneuver the panther but was met with an unexpected flash of shadowy speed. The panther materialized in front of him, and with a split-second reaction, Karna raised his 'ponthi' to clash against the beast's claws, his heart pounding with disbelief at the creature's uncanny abilities.

Deeru, a nimble fighter, lunged at the panther's flank, only to be confounded by its shapeshifting trickery. The beast growled menacingly, distorting its form, and Deeru's blade sliced through empty air, frustration evident in his clenched teeth.

Anurag, ever watchful, seized an opportunity to strike but found himself thwarted by the panther's lightning-quick reflexes. The beast dodged and retaliated with a swipe of its paw, leaving Anurag with a burning resolve to make his mark.

As the relentless battle unfolded, Karna emerged as the beacon of hope for his friends. Time and again, he intervened, his body battered and bloodied but his spirit unyielding. With each clash, he inched them closer to victory.

Their energy waned, and the panther, wounded and fatigued, struggled to maintain its powers. These young fighters weren't Spirit Weapon Warriors, but their relentless training had prepared them well for this moment.

Karna, despite his injuries, refused to relent. He orchestrated their movements, and as the panther grew weaker, he signaled to his friends to shift positions. They danced around the beast, disorienting it further.

The panther attempted to muster one last burst of power, but Karna seized the moment. With a final, mighty swing of his 'ponthi,' he struck the decisive blow, severing the panther's head from its body.

As the panther fell, defeated, the disciples collapsed, gasping for breath. Covered in blood and sweat, they were battered but victorious.

Deeru cursed their ill-fated trial, "What's wrong with this trial this time?"

Anurag mused, "I think Mayukh's powers have infiltrated the Deva's Trial."

Karna, still catching his breath, asked in a tired voice, "Do you think it's possible?".
