Chapter 131 - Chapter 531: A little Easter egg!

"Sir, this location is near the coast and hasn't been developed much in recent years. It used to be one of the four major economic regions. I believe this city is most suitable for our headquarters."

"It's located at around 23.5 degrees north latitude, with a subtropical climate and mild weather, making it ideal for our research."

"Alright, let's go with this location."

Fang Yan readily agreed to this choice, showing no hesitation.

However, the chosen location left everyone in the room astonished.

"This is Sanshuishan City!"

In the office, Long Baiyun, Hong Jiu, and other members of the management team exchanged bewildered glances.

Fang Yan's decision to establish the headquarters in Sanshuishan City left them in disbelief. The scale of the headquarters, as Fang Yan described, was unprecedentedly large, and they were instructed to start recruiting talent immediately.

"Sir, Sanshuishan City is no ordinary place. It's rife with various factions and powerful individuals. It's not an easy environment for ordinary people."

Long Baiyun hesitated for a moment before voicing his concerns.

Fang Yan quirked an eyebrow, gazing at Long Baiyun with a faint smile.

"Why worry? You're worth hundreds of billions now. What's there to be afraid of?"

Long Baiyun was momentarily speechless, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He had momentarily forgotten that he was addressing not just his boss, but the controller of their lives. Refusing Fang Yan was not an option.

"I-I'm not worried..."

Long Baiyun stammered before nodding in agreement to Fang Yan's decision.

Unbeknownst to him, Fang Yan had deliberately engineered this scenario to gauge their loyalty and obedience.

"Pack your belongings, we'll head there the day after tomorrow. Make sure to equip yourselves with windproof gear. You already have drones, and I'll provide you with the upgraded Fangshen Technology drones."

Fang Yan's lips curled into a slight smile as he watched everyone leave.

He appreciated their loyalty and dedication, and he intended to reward them in kind.

"Sir, the performance of the Fangshen Technology drones hasn't been fully tested. Are you sure you want to use them now?"

Jarvis interjected, his voice calm and composed.

Over the past few days, Fang Yan had been working on optimizing the drones while also developing the dark matter collector. He had momentarily put the drone project on hold when the collector saw a breakthrough. Now, he remembered the unfinished task.

"They'll be ready for use soon."

Fang Yan's smile held an air of confidence. He knew the drones would be operational by the time they were needed.

Long Baiyun and the others had been by his side for a long time. Fang Yan had gradually entrusted them with more responsibilities, effectively handing over the reins. Their loyalty and the tens of trillions of yuan on their accounts made him confident in their allegiance.

While he had the means to manipulate and control them, Fang Yan opted for a different path. He preferred building a machine to replace human control, as machines lacked the unpredictability and emotions of humans.

"Alright, sir."

...

"Fang Yan wants to establish the headquarters in Sanshuishan City?!"

The news reached Yuwen Yiruo, who promptly informed Hong Deliang. She was one of the few individuals Fang Yan had shared his personal contact information with.

She understood Hong Deliang's unwavering respect and admiration for Fang Yan.

Upon receiving the news, Hong Deliang's disbelief mirrored Yuwen Yiruo's own thoughts. Fang Yan would not ordinarily share such information with them.

"That's right, I received a message from him."

Puzzlement clouded Yuwen Yiruo's expression. She wondered how Fang Yan had acquired her number. Only a handful of people were privy to that information. Could Fang Yan be requesting her presence?

She put aside her questions and informed Hong Deliang about Fang Yan's decision.

"I smell something fishy. There's no reason for him to share this with us!"

Hong Deliang also grew suspicious. Fang Yan's sudden revelation puzzled him. Could Fang Yan want him to figure out something?

Yet, Hong Deliang failed to consider that a drone, the very technology he had a hand in developing, could hold the key to understanding Fang Yan's intentions.

"Yes, he just messaged me."

Yuwen Yiruo furrowed her brows. Fang Yan's actions were peculiar. If he intended to establish a headquarters, he shouldn't feel obligated to notify them. Could he be hinting at something else?

It wasn't until the drone beside Hong Deliang caught his attention that things began to unravel.

"Sample, you were created by Fang Yan. Can you shed light on his intentions?"

Hong Deliang sought answers from the drone, unaware of its programmed knowledge.

"I can."

A faint red light blinked on the sample's body as it began to communicate.

"That's great!"

Hong Deliang's anticipation was evident as he eagerly awaited the drone's insights into Fang Yan's motivations.

"Sir, today Fang Yan injected a program into all our drones. He discussed establishing the headquarters during the process. Fang Yan arranged this, and we're not meant to share this information unless asked. It's a sort of hidden Easter egg."

"Easter egg? What the hell..."

The revelation caught Hong Deliang off guard, leaving him momentarily speechless. He hadn't expected Fang Yan to engineer such a complex and unconventional method to convey his intentions.

"He said it's to add some spice to our drones..."

Hong Deliang muttered, his expression a mixture of surprise and amusement.

Back in her office, Yuwen Yiruo couldn't help but chuckle at the unfolding situation.
