Chapter 2544 - -2562- Kill them all

shtar's report made everyone's spirits tighten at once.

"They're coming?"

Rozen narrowed his eyes, staring ahead.

And then, upon the vast plain before them, the monsters came crawling like spiders—sprinting swiftly on their spear-like legs while letting out strange sounds.

"Qkde qkde! G@'fffffffffffffff!"

"Qkde qkde! G@'fffffffffffffff!"

"Hahahaha!"

"Hahahaha!"

With this chaotic mix of distorted sounds and manic laughter, the creatures appeared in swarms, charging forward like beasts scenting blood.

"...!"

At the sight, Rozen, Ishtar, and every soldier on the walls felt their skin crawl, their expressions twisting in horror.

"Wh-What the hell are those things!?"

"They're disgusting!"

"Is that... is that the true form of the Laḫmu!?"

Inside Chaldea, Olga Marie, Da Vinci, and Roman also cried out in shock.

Clearly, the true form of the Laḫmu had surpassed the very limits of human psychological—and even physiological—tolerance.

"So those are Mother's new children? What a sick joke."

Even Ishtar felt the urge to unleash all her firepower at once.

"...Perhaps this is Tiamat's hatred and wrath toward both mankind and the gods."

Altera murmured quietly.

Because she despised the gods. Because she despised humans. That was why she created such revolting abominations—creatures humanity could never accept—and let them slaughter freely across the land. That must have been Tiamat's intent.

They were the very embodiment of the Evils of Humanity—a primordial monster of creation that loathed the very ecosystem of this planet.

"Hunt!"

"Hunt!"

"Hahahaha!"

The Laḫmu laughed as they charged.

Seeing their mouths gape open, their expressions almost like revelers at a feast, Rozen's eyes went cold as ice.

And then—

"Kill them all!"

Without further words, Rozen spoke aloud the truest emotion in everyone's hearts toward the incoming Laḫmu.

"ROAR!"

"ROAR!"

At his command, the dragons in the skies and the yokai and demons on the ground raised their cries and rushed forward.

On one side, a vast army of countless beings gathered under humanity's banner.

On the other, an army of monsters made of pure abomination.

Both sides thundered across the plains like stampeding horses, dust rising in waves as they crashed together.

The next instant—they clashed, and the battle erupted.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Dragons rained down torrents of flame from the skies, blasting apart Laḫmu in their path.

BOOM! THUD! CLANG! CLANG!

Golems, yokai, and myriad specters swarmed the Laḫmu—striking with heavy blows, strangling, and unleashing their powers in a massive encirclement.

It was a scene of grand slaughter.

Thousands of Laḫmu advanced from this direction toward Uruk—but against hundreds of thousands of summoned creatures, they should have been annihilated.

And yet, incredibly, the Laḫmu endured.

Splurt!

A golem smashed a Laḫmu with a heavy punch, sending it rolling across the ground—yet the monster immediately sprang back up and lunged forward like a bullet, its spear-leg piercing straight through the golem's body.

Splurt!

A yokai unleashed fire, engulfing a Laḫmu in flames, burning it again and again—yet the abomination ignored the pain, leapt through the inferno, and before the yokai could react, drove its spear-leg through its torso, skewering it instantly.

"ROAR!"

Even the dragons above spewed torrents of dragon breath upon the swarming Laḫmu. Yet in the next moment, through the firestorms below, the Laḫmu surged upward one by one, clinging to the dragons' bodies like parasites.

Their spear-legs struck again and again, tearing scales, piercing flesh, and drawing agonized screams and thrashing from the mighty beasts.

"Qkde qkde! G@'fffffffffffffff!"

"Qkde qkde! G@'fffffffffffffff!"

"Hahahaha!"

"Hahahaha!"

The Laḫmu only laughed, heedless of wounds, heedless of pain, throwing themselves into the fray with no thought of survival—only killing.

And so, despite the vast host of hundreds of thousands, not a single Laḫmu had yet been slain, while thousands of summoned beasts had already fallen.

"What the hell is this!?"

Ishtar cried out in shock at the sight.

Not only her—even within Chaldea, the observers shivered as cold dread sank into their bones.

"They... they don't care about their lives at all... they only want to kill...!"

"They're monsters—in the most literal sense of the word."

"And their power is terrifying. Not only are their defenses and endurance absurdly high, allowing them to withstand tremendous damage, but their spear-legs' piercing power is horrifying!"

Olga Marie, Da Vinci, and Roman trembled.

And if even they felt such despair, one could only imagine the terror overwhelming the soldiers upon the walls.

"What ARE those things!?"

"Gods above..."

"Are such abominations truly meant to annihilate us humans...?"

The soldiers' morale was plummeting, their fear mounting by the second.

Seeing this, Rozen's heart sank.

If this continued, the morale of humanity's side would collapse completely. In the end, there would be no resistance at all—only massacre.

"Fortunately, to avoid unnecessary human casualties, Uruk's soldiers were stationed only upon the walls—not sent to the frontlines."

So Rozen thought to himself. But he knew it couldn't continue like this.

If they let terror take root, how could mankind hope to oppose the Evils of Humanity?

No doubt, the same situation was unfolding at the west, south, and north gates.

Thinking thus, Rozen no longer hesitated.

"Altera, Ishtar."

His voice rang out.

"Destroy."

At once, Altera shot forth like a bolt of white lightning, her figure streaking across the field.

"Leave it to me!"

Ishtar too shouted, long holding back her rage, and launched forward upon her Heavenly Boat Maanna.

The two Servants plunged into the battlefield.

And Rozen—was faster still.

"All of you... lend me your strength once more."

He whispered to the Beast Vassals slumbering in his blood.

And in response, came the eager voices of the twelve maidens of flame and light.

"Come forth—Regulus Aurum! Alnasl Minium! Shaula Viola!"

At that instant, thunder, stormwinds, and violet flames burst to life around Rozen.

"ROAR!"

"NEIGH!"

"SCREECH!"

In the next moment, the Lightning Lion, the Twin-Horned Warhorse, and the Man-faced Scorpion-beast appeared in full form, their roars shaking the earth as they charged forward.

BOOOOM!

The battlefield trembled, thunder echoing like the heavens themselves.

The Lightning Lion, the Twin-Horned Warhorse, and the Man-faced Scorpion-beast stormed into the Laḫmu's ranks, unleashing their full might in a frenzy of slaughter.
