Chapter 2527 - -2525- Stronger than ever

Everything Rozen had seen from the Tablets of Destinies—he told no one.

It was as if nothing had happened at all. Rozen acted like what had taken place that very morning had never occurred, not even mentioning to anyone that Gilgamesh had come to the embassy.

Calm and natural, he simply joined the others, who had just woken up, in enjoying breakfast and that rare moment of leisure.

But that leisure did not last long.

Because the battle at the Northern Wall flared up again. The Goddess of Beasts appeared once more, leading her army of monsters to assault the Demonic Beast Front.

No one had expected this.

Not even Rozen.

No one thought that, after yesterday's war—when countless monsters were lost—Gorgon would still disregard those losses, even her own, and continue to launch another offensive.

Though today's attack was much weaker than yesterday's, owing to their diminished numbers, the Northern Wall too had suffered terrible casualties.

Many soldiers and much fighting power had been lost, including three Servants. Compared to that, they could gain no real advantage.

But since Gorgon possessed the Holy Grail and an undying body, she could afford to keep pressing the assault, relying on brute force to crush the Demonic Beast Front and invade Uruk.

Thus, the battle situation grew critical once again, and all of Uruk fell into chaos.

Upon hearing this, Rozen immediately prepared to set out with numerous Servants for the Northern Wall to face Gorgon.

But Gilgamesh stopped him.

"I already told you—the Demonic Beast Front will not collapse so easily. Even if the Goddess of Beasts has returned, with Nobunaga there, and the beastmen and wyverns we borrowed from the Jungle Goddess, they should be able to delay Gorgon for several days."

For that reason, Gilgamesh blocked Rozen's decision to depart.

"Don't you need time? I am giving it to you. Return to the embassy."

Gilgamesh said directly to Rozen:

"The time when your power is truly needed draws near. Hurry and restore yourself to full capacity, Chaldean."

And with that, he sent Rozen and the others back.

Rozen frowned deeply, but after a long silence, he chose to accept this goodwill.

In other words, Rozen resolved to leave the situation at the Northern Wall be, and spend the coming days focusing solely on recovering himself and restoring his state.

"Is this really okay, Senpai?"

Mash asked worriedly.

"This isn't the time to be leisurely doing that, is it?"

Even Ryougi Shiki seemed disapproving.

"If you don't go, and the Demonic Beast Front is finally breached, everything will be over, you know?"

Even Ishtar warned him aloud.

"Rozen!"

Even Anna looked desperate, clearly wanting him to act.

Only Merlin, the Magus of Flowers, seemed to perceive something, smiling faintly without joining the persuasion.

"Fou!"

Fou kept to his usual antics, only swiping his claws across Merlin when the latter grinned, making him cry out in pain.

Even Chaldea's staff tried to persuade him.

"With the battle already so dire, how can you calmly focus on tuning your magic circuits?"

"With only Oda Nobunaga at the Northern Wall, can they really hold out?"

"I think you should head there right away. Even with your current strength, it's enough to defeat Gorgon."

So said Olga Marie, Da Vinci, and Roman repeatedly.

And they weren't wrong.

With Rozen's group's current strength, they were more than sufficient to deal with a single Gorgon.

Even if Ereshkigal and Quetzalcoatl couldn't intervene for now, their lent armies were enough to stall the monsters.

With Mash, Ryougi Shiki, Ishtar, Anna, Merlin, and the trump card Altera, even if Rozen himself didn't fight, they should still be capable of subjugating Gorgon.

Thus, in such a critical situation, heading to the Northern Wall and striking down Gorgon truly seemed the best option.

But Rozen didn't agree.

The reason was simple.

"I have a bad premonition."

He recalled the Mind's Eye vision of that black ocean and its weeping cries.

Whenever he thought of that scene, Rozen couldn't shake the sense that there existed a danger in this era unknown to anyone else.

And in the face of that danger, he felt:

"If I don't restore my full strength, I won't be able to deal with it when the time comes."

Gilgamesh seemed vaguely aware of this as well. Merlin too.

Neither voiced it, but Rozen could feel that they both hoped he would restore himself completely before confronting Gorgon.

That was why Rozen ignored the others' pleas and only grew more determined to return himself to peak condition.

"Give me five days."

Rozen told everyone.

"In just five days, I'll be back at full strength."

To fully readjust his magic circuits would take three days and nights.

After that, he would run his circuits at full capacity, generating mana and restoring his reserves. That would take roughly another day and night.

So even allowing for some delay, five days would be enough.

Gilgamesh and Merlin voiced no objections, directly supporting Rozen.

As for Mash and the others, once they saw his resolve, they reluctantly agreed as well.

So Rozen shut himself in at the embassy, cutting himself off from all visitors.

Aside from meals and basic needs, he never left his room, focusing single-mindedly on adjusting his magic circuits.

During this time, Uruk grew ever more chaotic as the frontline worsened.

The embassy constantly received urgent reports. The others were left anxious, but with Rozen in seclusion, they could not act without their Master.

Eventually, as the only Servant still officially under Gilgamesh, Merlin was reassigned to the frontlines, sent to support Nobunaga against Gorgon.

But Gorgon was not alone. When Kingu also entered the battle, things didn't improve—they grew worse.

And so, in just three days, the Northern Wall was reportedly on the brink of collapse.

Gilgamesh could sit still no longer.

He opened his Vault of Treasures completely, releasing enormous strategic resources to fuel the war.

Meanwhile, Rozen remained calm, never leaving his room.

But from the fourth day, every Servant bound to Rozen felt it—a tremendous surge of mana flowing through their contracts, empowering them all.

"This is…"

The Servants were both shocked and elated.

Shocked at the sheer magnitude of the mana.

Elated, because they understood Rozen's condition.

It meant his magic circuits had been tuned, and now he was pouring all his effort into restoring his mana.

The flow of power only grew stronger and stronger, so immense that one by one, the Servants' Saint Graphs underwent transformations, becoming stronger than ever before.

And so, four days and nights passed.

On the morning of the fifth day, in one room, a boy opened his eyes.

Within them flickered a brilliance dazzling to the extreme.
