The little girl picked up a nearby vase and threw it at Jonathan, hitting him in the head. With a loud thud, Jonathan lost consciousness and awoke tied to a chair at a small kid's table, with dolls sitting on the surrounding chairs.
"Would you like some tea, mister?" the little girl asked as Jonathan turned to face her. She looked quite excited as she walked over with the teapot.
"W-who are you?" Jonathan asked, cautious and frightened.
"Good day to you too, sir. My given name is Emily," she said, holding the tip of her dress and bowing. She then started pouring some mysterious black liquid from the teapot into the teacups.
"What is this?" Jonathan asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's not your turn to talk," she snapped back, still smiling with a twitch. But as she did, the surrounding dolls imitated her.
"The f—" Jonathan said in shock as he fell back in his chair.
"Manners," Emily calmly said as she helped him back up.
She then sat down and put her pinky finger out as she held her empty teacup and took a sip. The dolls imitated her and drank their tea with the strange black liquid.
"Your tea is getting cold. You should drink up," she said to Jonathan, smiling.
"No thanks," Jonathan said sternly.
"I insist," she countered, as she got up and began serving the cookies. But what was more shocking was how well-baked the cookies seemed to look.
"Try some, they are quite tasty," Emily said, smiling as she took a bite of one of them.
"No thanks, I'm full."
"Oh dear, you're being quite a difficult guest, mister," Emily said, still calmly smiling as the dolls imitated after her.
"Oh dear, you're being quite a difficult guest, mister."
"Oh dear, you're being quite a difficult guest, mister."
"Oh dear, you're being quite a difficult guest, mister."
The dolls kept on chanting the phrase on and on until eventually Emily spoke again. "Silence," she calmly said, but in a quite threatening tone. Jonathan hurriedly grabbed a cookie and ate one. "Mm, yum!" he said hurriedly, still avoiding the tea.
"Mister, do you perhaps think my tea is not worth your tasting?" she said, her lips turning downward and a black blood-like liquid leaking from her empty eyelids.
"Oh no, you made madam cry," one of the dolls said before the rest began to follow suit.
"Oh no, you made madam cry."
"Oh no, you made madam cry."
"Oh no, you made madam cry."
Emily got up and left the room as the dolls continued chanting the phrase. Jonathan hurriedly tried to untie himself. As he had finished untying the last knot, the dolls suddenly stopped and all looked towards the closet. A loud banging sound started coming from the closet. Jonathan quickly got up and ran out of the room. The loud banging from the closet, then suddenly stopped. Jonathan stopped in his tracks, standing a bit far from the bedroom door and listening for any signs of danger.
The silence of the place was then met by a loud thud, loud enough for Jonathan to begin running again. He didn't know exactly where he was but could only look for the closest exit to get out of there. In fact, Emily hadn't even returned and he knew whatever had made that sound was out to get him.
