The days passed quickly, with Alice spending time with Renna. There wasn't much else to do, after all.
After the original explosion, the tears in the sky seemed to have stabilized. They weren't expanding, nor were they retreating.
They were simply… there.
A wound in the sky that refused to close.
There were times when Alice would find herself staring at the sky in silence, time just passing by.
A part of her wanted to rush to the capital, yet she needed to wait.
"You've got that gloomy look on your face again. Are you that worried?" Renna asked, sitting down next to Alice.
In the days they had spent with one another, drinking, talking, and simply enjoying each other's company, it wasn't a stretch to say they were good friends by this point.
"Just a tad. The longer I wait, the riskier it becomes." Alice exhaled slightly.
