(Jason's POV)
"I wonder what all that's about...." I said as I had my hand on my chin, "I don't remember anything about a contract."
I'm starting to put two and two together but I can't just speak on my suspicions. Who am I gonna discuss it with? Nobody but me knows my situation and if I just speak up, something similar to what happened to Aries will happen. The Blue Screen is always denying anything I ask.
As I was on the train of thought, I heard the door open.
"Jason?" I looked up to see Luy walk inside the room
She was giving me a worried look.
"Yea?" I said
She walked up to me, her hands behind her back, "There's something I had to come and tell you." She said, "It's about Brandish, she wishes to speak to you."
I nodded, "Okay." I said, "I'll go and see what she wants."
"I also wanted to see if everything was okay with you." She said with a sad frown, "I know you may be feeling awful, losing Erion..."
I sighed, "I'm fine." I said, "Don't worry, I will get him back. I won't lose another child of mine. I've lost too many...."
She looked at me, "I-It was just Kagura's...right?" She asked
I began to walk past her, "Don't worry about it." I said
She stopped me, grabbing my hand.
"Wait." she said, "There's something I want to talk to you about..."
I looked at her, "Yea?" I said
She then slowly let go of my hand as I faced her, "Uhm..." She started, "It's about us...."
I rubbed my hair, "Oh.." I said, "Yea...."
She blushed and shook her head, "Look, it's far from appropriate, Jason." She said, "Right now is not the right time for any of this. I know I've just confessed to you recently but I know you have mixed and conflicting feelings about this whole thing. I can see the way you look at Mavis and I am 100 percent sure you look at Kagura the same way."
"Lucy..." I said
"I respect whatever feelings you have for them." Lucy continued as she fidgeted with her fingers, "It won't change the way I feel for you. But I know now's not the time to distract ourselves with whatever it is we have going on. I know they feel the same. We're at war. I have to fight for my guild, my friends, my family. I know you're fighting for Master Mavis and for your son and I won't distract you from your goal. Jason, I love you. I do. And until this war is over, I think I'll keep my distance from you. Every time I am near you, I can't help but feel distracted. That's how badly I want you....."
Damn. I didn't know she felt like this. She does make sense. This is war and she's fighting for Fairy Tail; her family. And the fact she can feel nothing but distracted with me, i didn't see that coming. Well, I don't know why I'm surprised.
I sighed, "Very well." I said, "But there's one thing you're wrong about, Lucy."
She looked at me, "Eh?"
"I'm not just fighting for Mavis and Erion." I said placing my hand on her chin, "I'm also fighting for you. All of you. As complicated as my relationship is with Fairy Tail, I consider all of you my friends."
"Oh..." She said
I then lowered my hand and took a step back, "Lucy." I said, "I'm very surprised. Something is unsettling about the way I feel at the moment."
She frowned, "What's wrong?" She asked
"My son was taken from me." I said as I looked at my hand, "And yet.....I don't feel anxious or mad. Something is telling me I shouldn't worry too much about it. Whether I am sure Irene won't let anything happen to him or not, I don't feel worried about him. I wonder why..."
"Maybe..." Lucy said, "Maybe you're sure he'll come to you safely. He's a powerful dragon...."
I looked at her, "Well..." I said,
"So is his mother..."

"Jason." I heard Erza call out to me
I stopped and turned around, watching her walk up to me. She had a flustered look on her face, almost as she was still shaken up about the whole situation.
I was on my way to the prisoner holding cells, to see what Brandish wanted to talk about. Erza must've been told by Lucy for her to reach me here on this hallway.
"What's wrong?" I asked
She stopped right in front of me, almost a foot away from me.
"Look." She said, "A lot is going on in my mind.....but I've made a decision...."
I nodded, "Yea..."
She gave me a serious look, "He's my brother." She said, "I won't let anyone hurt him. He's being held by the enemy, we have to get him back."
"I see." I said, "But you do know what that will mean, right? I hate to ask this of you.....Erza...."
The idea of Mother and Daughter fighting each other fiercely, it's not a nice one.
"She may be blood, but she's no mother of mine." Erza said seriously, "The only parent I have is Master Makarov, he raised me. And I won't let her keep Erion away from his father. Jason, you deserve to get your son back."
"Erza." I said, "I understand how you feel. I, too, held animosity to one of my mothers. For the longest time. But if you do something you'll regret, there's no taking it back. I don't want you to kill Irene or vice versa. I'll fight her, leave it to me. I just want you to get Erion outta there."
"I'll fight her alongside if I have to, Jason." She said, "It's not that he's my brother, you're my friend. I mean, yea....we've....you know, slept together, but that aside, I care about you...I won't let you handle this by yourself.."
Well, I know there'll be no changing her mind.
I sighed, "Alright." I said, "I have a plan to continue this War. Irene and August are the only Shields that are a major threat....Trust me Erza....."
