Gu Qiaoqiao stopped talking to Xiao Wen and instead walked along the creek towards the wooden bridge.
Then she quickly reached Xiao Wen and Ling Nan's side. Ling Nan, seeking recognition, spoke up, "Sister Qiaoqiao, I know a place where the fruits are big and red, they're delicious."
Unhappy, Xiao Wen punched Ling Nan and complained, "Why didn't you take me there earlier?"
Ling Nan scratched the back of his head awkwardly and explained, "Sister Xiao Wen, you have to climb the mountain there, didn't you say you didn't want to climb?"
Xiao Wen glared at Ling Nan, laughingly scolded, "Excuses!"
Then she pushed Ling Nan, "Hurry up and lead the way, we want to eat those fruits you mentioned."
The three of them laughed and joked as they headed back into the forest.
Birds startled and flew, circling in the sky.
A breeze blew from the other side of the creek, and the early summer weather was truly cool and beautiful.
