"Do you always live here?"
"Yeah. Ever since I moved out at 60, I've been living here."
A 79-year-old flat golden retriever is about equivalent to a 17-year-old girl among humans, so 60 is around 12 or 13.
Shami looked around the room.
So this is where the Elf Maiden has been living alone for almost 20 years?
"Have you lived alone ever since you moved out?"
"Yeah. The Elf Race has a strong sense of independence, so many elves choose to live by themselves and not with their elders."
Lureya nodded her head.
"Mom and Dad live elsewhere, but occasionally they come by to clean. They also come here during my holidays, and the three of us have gatherings. So, for the most part, the house is empty. — If Shami wants to come over, I could reluctantly let you stay in the room across from mine."
The Elf Maiden extended an invitation.
