Bella Scott's attitude said it all; she wouldn't give him a chance to get close. He somewhat understood her temperament, and he knew that pushing himself on her would only make her disgusted.
Edward Anderson guessed Bella's thoughts, making him even more hesitant.
"Bro, you've got to give me some advice. You have to find a way to get closer to Bella. Otherwise, I think you'll be a bachelor for the rest of your life." Brynn Williams felt like an impatient servant to an indecisive emperor.
Edward found Brynn's words reasonable: "I'll...give it a try."
He went into his bedroom and called Bella.
The call went through quickly, with constant noise in the background. Bella must be at the Hernandezs' place, surrounded by chatter.
"What did you just say?" Bella took the phone and walked away from the noise, finally finding some quiet.
"The day after tomorrow is New Year's. Brynn wants to know if you'd like to bring the kids and join us for a gathering." Edward repeated his question.
