Seeing the two phantom divine statues, Ling Xiao was reminded of the ancient records he once read—
Before heaven and earth were divided, all was one; when the two principles first separated, yin and yang were established, hence pure energy rose to become the heaven of yang, and turbid energy descended to become the earth of yin.
The heaven of yang was inherited by the Five Great Ones, the five positions of heaven, upon which the sun and moon were established, accompanied by the mysterious celestial phenomena.
The earth of yin was supported by the Five Yellows, the five elements combined, bearing rivers, seas, mountains, forests, and dwellings. Thus, it is said heaven is yang, earth is yin, the Imperial Heaven and Post-Earth.
Without a doubt, one of these divine statues, full of dominance, is the Imperial Heaven, also known as Heavenly Lord.
The other, elegant and noble, is Post Earth, also known as Earth Mother.
Hence the differentiation of yin and yang.
