Chapter 417 - Chapter 417: Ninth Head

A roar of applause and cheers. A symphony of excitement. The people within Orochi gathered around at the Final head, the arena's shape being a dragon's den, complete with protruding spikes across its ring to ensure one cannot hide away. Lava pools and burning trees, the smoldered rock acting as the personal floor. A fitting area to brawl between the best of the best. The group was quick on getting front row seats, watching over the violent scene unfold, as the gates begin to open. "LADIEEEEES AND GENTLEMEN!!! WE HAVE OURSELVES A MIGHTY MATCH TODAY! A FIGHT WORTH DYING FOR, WINNER TAKES ALLLLLL!!!" An announcer would screech, his voice booming across the coliseum, the cacophony being louder with each word spoken out. Two members of the village were quick on blanketing the area in a dark mist, the sun acting as the personal spotlight, as the man continued. "FROM FAR OFF IN THE DISTANT LANDS, WE HAVE OURSELVES THIS MAN!!!" He'd begin, quickly snapping his fingers to materialize a parchment. A paper that displayed the fighter's information, in terms of their magic and fighting style. Their titles and their achievements.

Adel was the first to walk out onto the arena, rotating his shoulders as he'd hear the man's cry.

"A Man that has reached the utter peak in physical performance unseen by anyone else in the sandy dunes of his home! Poisoned alive by his own self? Nay! Poisoned alive by the Carbon in his insides?? Nay!! Poisoned alive by the very salt that ruined the very skin!? Nay, Nay, NAY!!! No matter what damage he suffered, his body pushed past it all! The walking Vaccine! The Living Antidote! The man that has achieved the highest rank amongst all of Orochi: Orochi Rank itself!! Standing at around 5'9 and achieving the Build of a GOD!! OUR CHALLENGER!!!"

"ADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL! SERPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENS!!!"

The Serpent drank a massive amount of water and splashed his face with the remaining fluids left, waving to everyone as he'd crush the bottle in his hand and tossed it aside to the blood red lava. "AND! HIS OPPONENT!! OUR GLORIOUS KING HAS FINALLY....FINALLY...GOT! HIS! MATCH!!" A dragon's roar was heard from within his own gate, the crowd quieting themselves as they'd see it fly through the entrance, soaring across the sky, blasting down a massive column of fire as Taro leapt off. "THE KING OF OROCHI! THE HUNTER ABOVE HUNTERS!! A Dragon that has descended from the best of the best! The apex of beasts that take to the skies! No matter how many fights he took, no matter how many scars he sustained, he eventually has won ALL of them! Now, after all this time, he waits. He waits for the very day someone pulls themselves to the Kingdom of Orochi, all to face MANKIND'S PERSONAL VRITRA and test themselves if they are worthy!! Coming at around 6'3, OUR LEADER!!!"

"TA! RO! DRRRRRRRRRRRRRAWYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYRM!!!"

The man descended as strong as he rose, the screams growing louder as he whisked the pillar of fire away. Something was missing, however, as the smoke and flames cleared. His gauntlet was missing, and yet the human Vritra still smiled. People were murmuring to one another as they questioned why he would leave out such an important weapon in his arsenal, yet Adel recognized such a reason almost immediately. As the two locked eyes once more, they got into their stances. The Serpent taking on a new stance, mixing his boxing style with Snake Style, his arms curved and his fingernails sharp, yet his hands balled up, ready to strike at a moments notice. Taro, meanwhile, took on a Dragon Stance, his legs bent down, his eyes glued to the direction his opponent was moving about. The Announcer would snap his fingers to demand the few above to dissipate the mist, parting it, letting the sun rest before the two once more. "FIGHTERS READY!?!?! FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!" Such words act as a personal trigger, as the two charged towards one another with the most ravenous smiles.

Adel went first, aiming to lunge a clean hook straight across the man's jaw, but Taro would follow the momentum and counterattack, a cross-up straight back to sender, propelling the snake straight back down on the ground. Even with such an impact, Adel pushed on, as he flipped his body over and landed another hit, a heavy kick across the man's neck, sending him over to a nearby stone construct, watching the rock break apart and fall down upon the Vritra. Taro smiled as he felt his bruise, immediately going to the offensive and grabbing such rubble as they fell, having the strength of the very dragons themselves as he pitched each and every single one, aiming for a vital at Adel's body. He would be forced to back away as much as possible, parrying each and every rock thrown his way, yet such stone was already causing damage to his hands, specifically his fingers. His middle finger was visibly bent, prompting Serpens to grab it with his teeth and lock it back in place as he kept dodging out of the way. Once the last stone was tossed, Taro followed along with that rock, watching Serpens smack it away, using it as a feint to aim for a deep gut punch, bile and saliva out of the snake's mouth. Despite such a hefty blow, the Snake kept his smile wide, as he'd try to follow up with a knee, as well as a massive stab straight onto his back. Taro, anticipating such, merely caught the knee and dragged his hands down to his leg, where he would do a slight tug, just enough to make the hand miss across his right side, before following up with a headbutt and a straight punch to the jaw once more, stunting his nerves, having Adel's body wobble as he'd try to stand properly.

Even with such devastating injuries he's sustained in the first few seconds, his smile remains. He was getting more and more excited at seeing the Dragon's physical strength, pondering about his Style, his Magic, his personal attacks that made him become so revered. The Serpent decided to kick up a notch, as he'd let the venom course through his veins.
