Without warning, the room descended into complete darkness. Frantic, Eric fumbled for the light switch, but it wouldn't budge. Panic raced through his veins as he called out for Gabriel, but his voice seemed to get swallowed by the void around them.
Suddenly, a gut-wrenching scream pierced through the darkness. It was Gabriel. Eric's heart clenched as he desperately reached out, trying to find his beloved, but his hands only grasped empty air. Fear knotted in his stomach, and he struggled to catch his breath.
Then, a voice, cold and menacing, filled the void. "You thought you could protect him? Foolish mortal," it hissed. "You are nothing but a pawn in this cosmic game."
Eric's mind raced, and he refused to give in to the paralyzing fear. Gathering every ounce of courage he had, he shouted into the darkness, "I will find him! I will save him, no matter what it takes!"
But as his words echoed into the unknown, the darkness grew even more suffocating. The room trembled with unseen forces, and Eric felt a chilling presence closing in on him. Just as the weight of the darkness threatened to consume him, everything went silent.
