Chapter 63 - Silver Dragon King

Inner region, Great Star Dou Forest.

It is quiet, as the full moon hangs over the forest, silently emitting its beautiful moonlight.

Most soul beasts have already fallen asleep, and nocturnal soul beasts begin prowling the forest in search for food.

But this has nothing to do with a bear watching the moon as if in a daze, creating a tranquil silence.

That tranquility, however, was shattered by the footstep of a giant seven-feet-tall dark bird, its feathers emitting a metallic sheen.

"Up this late? That's not like you, Xiong Yong."

Snapped out of his daze, Xiong Yong glanced at the new visitor.

Corviknight, a new companion who had appeared beside Boss Wang Shóu five years ago. Moreover, Corviknight had an eccentric personality and tended to behave like an old man. But his strength is not to be taken lightly and he can rival Xiong Yong in a combat.

Xiong Yong automatically recalled information about Corviknight. To be honest, Xiong Yong didn't hate Corviknight and even had a positive impression, but right now, he was in a bad mood.

"What do you want, Corviknight?" Xiong Yong said in a gruff tone.

Unfazed by Xiong Yong's harsh tone, Corviknight replied, "Nothing. It's just that Zhu Zhu is concerned about you since you haven't been eating lately."

"Ah...Zhu Zhu." Xiong Yong's tone, originally harsh, softened. Over the past five years, the relationship between him and Zhu Zhu had grown closer, with the intentional or unintentional help of Wang Shóu

Though a relationship between a bear and giant spider may seem strange, it was relatively normal in Douluo Dalu, where interspecies marriage was common. For example, a certain human that married a rabbit or another certain human that married a blade of grass.

After a moment of silence, Xiong Yong spoke with some difficulty. "Don't you ever get concerned about Boss Wang Shóu's absence?"

"Nah. I have faith that Wang Shóu will come back." Corviknight said, dismissing Xiong Yong's concern. "I have absolute confidence that Wang Shóu will be fine."

"But it's been eight months since Boss Wang Shóu was gone!" Xiong Yong replied anxiously. He was aware that Wang Shóu needed to face the heavenly tribulation and he believed that Wang Shóu would succeed.

But eight months has passed since Wang Shóu was last seen. Even Xiong Yong, who always trusted Wang Shóu, couldn't help but worry.

Corviknight sighed upon seeing Xiong Yong's anxiety. It seems that Xiong Yong's anxiety won't ease unless Corviknight gave a serious answer.

"Well...How to put this?" After some thought, Corviknight continued.

"It's not that we aren't concerned...it's just that we have no choice but to believe that Wang Shóu will be fine. Because if Wang Shóu die...then everything will be over for Pokémon."

"What?"

Xiong Yong had a question mark above his head but Corviknight didn't see it as he continued speaking.

"He is the one that we have all been waiting for... one who will lead Pokémon to their new destination."

Corviknight said thisas he look at the moon with a deep and distant gaze. It seemed that after gaining a sentient soul, Corviknight had become aware of many things that Wang Shóu himself wasn't yet aware of.

"...Okay." Ignoring Corviknight's cryptic answer, Xiong Yong sighed as he stared at the full moon.

"When will you come back, Boss Wang Shóu?"

---

Core Region, Great Star Dou Forest.

Deep within the core region, a dense canopy of large trees blocking all light. The inside of the core region are even darker than the night outside.

There, a small lake lay still, its water so clear that the content of the lake can be seen like glass. But even that clarity wasn't enough to reveal the bottomless end of the lake.

Beside the lake stood a lone man in his forties. A strand of golden hair hung down from his long black hair and rested beside his golden-eyes, slit like a terrifying snake's eye.

He was Di Tian, the Golden-Eye Black Dragon King and the Beast God of the soul beast race.

A short distance away stood several figures of varying heights and sizes. Through they appear vastly different, their identities were clear. They were the Ten Great Fierce Beasts, each with a cultivation age of over 200,000 years.

"Di Tian, what have you called us for?" A woman in a green jade cheongsam, softly asks. Her long green hair flowed like a natural waterfall, and a small wing fluttered behind her head. She was Bi Ji, an Emerald Swan, fourth of the Fierce Beasts, with a cultivation age of 590,000 years.

"Whatever it is, it's better to be important. It's been over a thousand years since the last meeting was held." A tall, tanned, middle aged, muscular man spoke with a rough tone. In his tone, there is not much respect for Di Tian and even a hint of provocation.

He is Xiong Jun, a Darkgolden Terrorclaw Bear, Bear Lord, and sixth of Fierce Beasts, with a cultivation age of 480,000 years.

A hint of displeasure passed through Di Tian's sharp eye. He had long been aware of Xiong Jun's desire to replace him as Beast God. Though he tolerated it due to Xiong Jun's strength, it seemed he had been too indulgent.

Just as he was about to speak, a sharp feminine voice cut in.

"Has hibernating in the cave turned your brain into mush?" A beautiful woman with long purple-black hair and an expressionless face, spoke coldly. She has a slender figure with perfect, round breasts and long legs. She was Zi Ji, the Abyss Demon Dragon, the ninth of the Fierce Beasts, with a cultivation age of 290,000 years.

"What did you say, Zi Ji!?" Xiong Jun growled with displeasure, instantly transforming into a terrifying giant bear over a hundred meters tall. His dark-gold fur was thicker and harder than the hardest steel. His arms were massive like a building and his pair of sharp dark-gold claws were over thirty meters.

"Enough! I didn't call you here to squabble like bickering children." Di Tian's voice thundered, and at the same time, a terrifying aura of a dragon burst out from his body.

Xiong Jun froze, shuddering under the suppression of Di Tian's aura. This is the suppression of Golden Eye Black Dragon King, one of the most noblest and powerful soul beast.

After a moment, Xiong Jun said with some difficulty. "Yes... I understand." He canceled his transformation, and returned to his human form, standing by silently.

"After ten thousands year since Huo Yuhao established the Spirit Pagoda, the Spirit Pagoda still exists today. But as for us soul beasts... we are close to extinction." Di Tian said with a solemn tone and bitterness can be heard in his tone.

"Humanity... They've grown too powerful, especially with their Battle Armor. Soon, the Great Star Dou Forest, our sole haven, will no longer exist."

"..." The Fierce Beasts were silent, aware of the grim reality. They are no longer the apex predator like they used to be and are now just a livestock, awaiting slaughter.

"But... we have a new hope now." Di Tian said, his tone shifting from bitterness into a hint of excitement and even zealous tone.

The Fierce Beasts glanced at each other. After a moment, Bi Ji softly asked. "What do you mean by that?"

Before Di Tian could answer, the ground beneath their feet suddenly shook for a moment before it grew increasingly violent. The lake waters that were as clear as before, are now bubbling furiously with bubbles rapidly rising from the surface.

"What's going on? Have humans invade?" Bi Ji cried out in alarm. The other Fierce Beasts immediately became tense, ready to transform at a moment's notice.

"Calm down, it's not the humans!" Di Tian shouted out. His face that used to be grim was now replaced with indescribable excitement and awe.

"I, the Silver Dragon King, has returned!" A feminine voice echoes from all directions, reverherating throughout the forest.

Bang!

Then the water of the lake explode upward like a volcano eruption. Water sprayed high into the air as the lakebed became barren and dry.

Emerging from the barren lake, was a colossal claw of a glorious silver color, taller than a building. The silver claw was covered in numerous silver scales, each one as big as a basketball size. The sight of the colossal silver claw was enough to make mortal kneel in awe and worship.

Di Tian's breath grew heavier as he took a step forward and kneeled down on one knee. He respectfully proclaimed, "I welcome the lord!"

Then, a colossal silver dragon over three-hundred meters, adorned with brilliant dazzling silver scales, suddenly exploded forth from the lake instantly, causing the forest to shake and shudder.

With the appearance of the silver dragon, a powerful aura was released, forcing all the Fierce Beasts to prostrate under the suppression. But they didn't care. The Fierce Beasts instead prostrate with ecstasy, as they recognized who she was and what it meant for them.

"The Dragon God died, but I still live!" The silver dragon roared, her voice filled with sorrow. "Those despicable humans dare try to exterminate us!? Now that I have awakened, their end has come!"

Di Tian, still kneeling, spoke eagerly, "Lord, humanity has grown too powerful! After thousand of years of development, their science and technology has grown to the point of suppressing us and, even I cannot last long against their best technology!"

The silver dragon slowly lowered her head and spoke, but this time, her voice didn't resonate throughout the forest. "To destroy them, we must first understand them. Follow me! Since the soul beasts was already near extinction, then we will conquer the human world!

Then a resplendent silver light flash, blinding all of the soul beasts present. When the silver light faded, a gigantic silver dragon was gone.

In her place stood a tall, voluptuous woman dressed in a silver cheongsam. Her long silver hair flowed down to her ankles, shimmering with a crystalline texture. Her violet eyes gleamed like the most beautiful amethysts.

Her facial features are symmetrical, with high cheekbones, a straight nose, and a beautiful red lip. She was so beautiful that men's hearts would skip and women who look at her, would be drawn in too.

"If I am to hide among humans, I need a name," she said softly. "From now on, I shall be called Gu Yuena."

Suddenly, a blinding white pure light surged from the forest, quickly becoming so bright that it momentarily cover the entire planet in snow-white light before vanishing.

"!!" Gu Yuena turned sharply in the direction where the light originate from, her delicate face becoming serious.

Di Tian, seemingly unaware of what had just happened, continue kneeling and asked Gu Yuena with confusion. "Is something wrong, my lord?"

Gu Yuena didn't answer. She also look at other soul beasts, who were also ignorant.

"What... is this?" Gu Yuena muttered, frowning. This was no ordinary perception. Though she hadn't made a full recovery, and recovered only to the level of 3rd Class God.

But relying on Gu Yuena's noble bloodline as the half of Dragon God, she can fight evenly against 1st Class God in a battle.

But even Gu Yuena couldn't instantly control Di Tian's mind and other soul beasts in an instant. And in her perception, she did not sense any trace of modifications or control on the soul beasts' mind.

Was she the only affected?

This is even more unlikely.

As the half and mind of the Dragon God, Gu Yuena's spiritual power are equivalent to a God-King. Though she was greatly weakened, her spiritual power is not to be trifled with.

'So... what is happening?' For a rare moment, confusion showed on Gu Yuena's face.

After a pause, Gu Yuena made a decision.

"All of you will come with me."

Through the appearance of an unexpected variable made Gu Yuena felt uneasy, but at this critical node with her return, nothing must interfere with soul beast race's revenge on humanity.

So, she must seek it out and if Gu Yuena must, she must extinguish it out before it becomes a threat.

And Gu Yuena had a premonition that the appearance of the dazzling white light could benefit her.

"Yes, my lord." Di Tian said, bowing his head. The Fierce Beasts also bow their head too.

With the return of the Silver Dragon King, the rise of soul beast and the end of humanity had begun now.

---

The white thick cocoon, as tall as a human, throbbed rhythmically like a beating heart. After eight long months of nurturing, the creature within was now ready to be born.

Crack!

A fracture appeared on the cocoon. As if creating a chain reaction, multiple cracks appeared on various part of the cocoon.

From within, a faint white, brilliant light seeps through the crack, escaping the clutch of the cocoon. At the same time, the cracks got larger until it appeared all over the cocoon.

 Crack!

No longer able to hold it any longer, the cocoon shattered and a white, dazzling light surge out, blinding everything.

The white light rushes upward to the sky, emitting a brilliant light, so brilliant that it cover the entire planet in snow-white light.

In the universe, a small light can be faintly seen, rapidly growing brighter until it illuminates the entire universe.

And with the illumination of the universe, a chorus of billion of creatures can be heard, singing as if hailing the birth of the most noble existence.

In a separate dark space, a system quietly computed, processing the impact of the white light.
