"Man, I'm so excited!" Muttering to myself, I stood in front of a mirror while getting dressed, buttoning my suit before tying my tie. Three years since I first pitched the TV to the King, and it was finally time to go public; I felt a child-like excitement bubbling within me. 'Oh man, how much is the first one going to sell for? 12 platinum? 15 platinum? I can't wait!'
"Alex, can you help me with this? I can't pull the dress on." Exiting the bathroom, Yuki was wearing a white dress, which she was having difficulty getting over her arms. "Yep. Just turn around." Approaching Yuki, who turned around, I helped her put her arms through the holes before resting the straps atop her shoulders and zipping the back up.
Stepping back, I let Yuki use the mirror while I straightened my tie. "I don't know, dresses just aren't me." Furrowing her brows slightly, Yuki observed herself in the mirror. "I agree, seeing you in a dress is honestly a little weird; I've only seen you in a dress on our wedding night. And that dress didn't fit because someone had gained weight."
Standing beside her, I poked her solid, rock-hard abs through the dress, causing her to flash a smirk as she raised her arms, flexing. "Hehe, that weight I've gained since then has been solely muscle." "That I don't doubt. Anyway, you look good, Yuki. If it weren't for the fact that we had somewhere to be, I would make love with you for an entire day."
Gazing at Yuki's muscular body in pride, jealousy, and lust, I kissed her stomach before walking away, heading to the wardrobe to get my jacket. "Ohh, let's do that when we return! We haven't made love in so long!" "4 days is so long to you?" "Yep! If it were up to me, we'd have sex every night… And maybe sometimes before lunch."
Rolling my eyes at how horny Yuki could be, I slapped her butt and held the door open for her. "C'mon, the others should be ready soon." With Yuki taking the lead, I closed the door behind us and followed her down the stairs, where she sat in the living room while I glanced at my pocket watch. 'We've still got an hour.'
Currently, we are at our capital house because we will be attending an auction, where I'll be selling 10 of my TVs as a promotional event for the opening of my business, 'Vertainment.' It was a combination of entertainment and Vestalis, my last name; it wasn't the best name we came up with, but I liked it because Vestalis didn't just symbolize me, but also my family.
After tonight, though, I'd be launching Vertainment to the public, where people would be able to buy our TVs; we already had over ten thousand TVs in stock, now it was just a matter of selling them. We'd actually finished adding audio feedback to the TV over a year ago; we delayed the release for a few reasons, but there were two main ones.
The first was that we needed to build a healthy stock of them, and the second was to record numerous plays. This is actually where the biggest problems came from. There would be a lot of problems and negative public opinion if we just stole the plays, so I had to go around and buy as many businesses that did plays, and it was not easy.
Thanks to the hundred platinum coins I got for protecting Cassandra, which we had over eighty remaining three years ago, I was able to buy a lot of businesses; however, because I bought so many businesses, we were now in debt. Banks don't really exist in this world, so I had to borrow from other nobles, and so, I'm about eleven diamond coins in debt, or one thousand one hundred platinum coins.
To put it into perspective, if I were back on Earth, I'd be well over ten billion dollars in debt. Yeah, it was pretty unbelievable. Now, I could've asked the King, but I'm sure he would've used that chance to ask for a great profit share, which I wasn't going to give up so easily.
As of right now, for the next fifteen years, all profits I make from the TV would be split in half; half goes to me, and the other half goes to him. It wasn't a small sum, but I didn't fight it much since the Kingdom was basically doing all the heavy lifting; they would be taking the brunt of the burden.
All we did was make the TVs; they handled almost everything else. There was also a big clause in the contract that didn't ask anything about how the TVs are actually made, and that alone was like a ten-percent profit share.
It was a bit annoying, but despite Jasmine's background, she wasn't knowledgeable in the business field, just politics, as for me I was even worse off.
'Honestly, the king most definitely got one over on us.' The King probably got about just as much money as he could out of this without straining our relationship, so I can't be too upset. Either way, even with only getting fifty percent, I was entirely confident that we'd still end up incredibly wealthy.
While I was deep in thought, I heard the stairs creak, prompting me to look. I spotted Michelle and Chloe, wearing matching teal dresses, and whistled in awe. "Look at you two. I'm suddenly feeling very hungry." The duo broke out into grins at my compliment as they approached me. "Shh, don't say that out in public, okay? I'll die of embarrassment." Michelle gently hit my shoulder as she eyed me while Chloe pressed herself against me.
"We still have time. Why don't you satisfy your hunger?" With her back against my chest, Chloe raised her hand behind my head, looking up at me while she slowly ground against me. "Slow your roll, little girl. Yuki called dibs first." Holding her by the waist, I smirked before leaning down, kissing her before tossing her onto the couch beside Yuki. "I want some more." Wiping her mouth, her eyes glazed with lust, Chloe stared intensely at me.
Ignoring Chloe's gaze, I looked back up at the stairs as Vanye walked out next, opting to wear a suit rather than a dress; I don't think I'll ever catch her in a suit, save for when we got married, and even then, we had to collectively persuade her and she didn't wear it for more than two hours.
"Ah, Mr. Vestalis. You look stunning as usual." Outstretching my hand for a handshake, Vanye blankly looked at me, causing me to chuckle as I leaned for a kiss, while grabbing her ass with both hands. "I was going to tease you about the suit, but these pants make your butt look great." Whispering into her ear, whose color was faintly red from her blush, she looked away. "Y-You haven't even seen my butt yet." "I don't need to."
Releasing her, I kissed her cheek and slapped her butt while she walked over to the others, getting embarrassed from Michelle and Chloe's teasing.
Walking down a few minutes later was Vanimo and Talis; the latter was wearing a nice red suit, complemented by his hair, while Talis wore a black and purple dress. "I can understand Vanimo's outfit, but why yours, Talis?" Tilting my head in confusion, Talis proudly raised her head while pointing to the ceiling with her wings. "Black and Purple is the color of the night sky that I will one day fly through! When I do, I shall officially proclaim myself as the Queen of the Skies to the world!"
"So, you're unofficially the Queen of the Skies currently?" "Yep!" Wryly shaking my head at her sheer arrogance, she and Vanimo plopped on the couch, just in time for Jasmine to come walking down, going so far as to do a little twirl, showing off without an ounce of shame.
"How do I look? Stunning?" Flicking her hair, Jasmine set her hands on her waist while looking at me with a knowing look, causing me to nod. "As stunning as someone pushing 30 can look." All the confidence Jasmine had suddenly evaporated as she hunched forward, gazing at me with indifference. "Fuck you."
Snicking while Jasmine joined the others on the couch, receiving comforting words from Michelle, while Chloe tried to pour salt into the wound, the last person began to walk down the steps. "Well, well, well. If it–Oh, it's you, Kurama. Honestly, I forgot you were even with us."
Having expected Lazuli, I snap my fingers as I look at Kurama, who was wearing a modest yet stunning blue and green dress, though my little comment caused any of the excitement within her to deflate as she sighed. "Haa, that's so refreshing to hear, Alex." "S-Sorry." Even after apologizing, the others glared at me as they ignored me and consoled Kurama.
After another minute, Lazuli, the true last of us, walked down. "As you can see, you save the best for last." Wearing a small black dress that hugged her petite frame excellently, Lazuli eyed us before raising her arm, which partially transformed into a clock. "We have 45 minutes. Let us leave." "Yes, yes." "I like how the last person says we need to leave." "Oh, the irony."
