Wu Long and Wei Lan came out of the garden house, the latter freezing on the spot right outside the door.
"Hmm? Wha-...", as Wu Long was going to ask her, he soon understood what she reacted to, as Yuanfen was crouching down to look at the flowers just a few meters away from them.
She was the only one who could evade Wu Long's detection completely, appearing when he did not expect it. It was a slightly unnerving, and humbling experience for someone so used to always control his surroundings.
'S-since when was she here? wait... how long did we... how much did she hear?', Wei Lan thought in a light panic, looking into those eyes full of innocence that turned to them.
"Wu Long!", Yuanfen showed an expression of pure joy, rushed up and ran to him, hugging Wu Long tightly.
He chuckled, embracing her back as Wei Lan sighed with relief.
'Whew~... it seems she just arrived~', she thought, making a warm smile at this adorable reaction to seeing Wu Long.
