Adam opened his eyes.
What came to view immediately was Kiana's beautiful face that was peeking at him with interest.
"How is it?"
She questioned, lowering her hand and wiping the bloodstain on her jacket.
"Hm…."

He shut his eyes, contemplating on the abilities acquired by devouring Kiana's blood.
A very good resistance to honkai energy, a very good control of honkai energy, and….a slight ability to touch upon and control the soul?
[The essence of this part of the Will's power is closer to absolute control and dominion.]
'Right…Of course. It's a fragment of the literal will of honkai. It couldn't be as simple as control over honkai energy…'
Even though Adam didn't obtain the full power of Kiana's blood- the absolute tag before the powers- he was still satisfied.
Because it was enough. Enough for him not to die of honkai corruption.

He opened his eyes yet again-
"Very good!"
With a wide smile, he gave her a thumbs-up
"Now I won't suddenly die!"
The silver-haired boy straightened his back, letting his arms fall to his sides.
Compared to before, his arms have now turned normal- pale yet healthy white skin that reveals the muscles within it.
Now he can confidently say- Unless the will itself comes out, no honkai can harm him!
'Unless it's fucking Jyahnar.....'
"Well, you seem pumped up."
The white-haired girl remarked as her gaze shifted from his normal arms to his excited face.
Surviving honkai corruption- indeed, that's something worthy of uncontrollable excitement.
"At first, I was suspicious, but now…."
Her eyes lowered back to his intact arms.
There was absolutely no indication that he had suffered corruption- it's as if it was all an illusion.
Indeed, now his previous lack of worry made sense. She even doubted that, even if she wasn't present to save him, this boy would have found another way.
"Hey Kiana, sometimes you just need to believe."
Adam twirled his hand, that smile still on his face.
She didn't believe that he could actually be 'saved' this way….But she also doesn't believe that, one day, she'll awaken and destroy civilization once again, does she?
"I'm quite surprised, you know?" The white-haired girl sighed, shaking her head. "I rarely see men with combat power or special abilities."
That's right. Honkai is sexist in both worlds. The males that are actually important can be counted on one hand.
This is even more prominent in GGZ….In the normal honkai world, at least there's the previous era. But in this world, all previous eras were just 'cycles' with the same individuals.
And the Kevin of this world is just Kiana.
"The world is full of unknown mysteries." Adam shrugged, being in no mood to confirm or deny his combat power or his special abilities. "You should get used to unexpected things."
"Mhm…"
The elegant white haired 'princess' hummed, not continuing the conversation further. She interlocked her fingers behind her back, turning to gaze at the sky from the window.
"...."
After staring at her side profile for a few moments, Adam turned his head and copied her. He too, stared at the sky.
Of course, internally, his thoughts weren't so peaceful. Additionally, he wasn't in the mood to talk.
In short, he has currently turned on his 'emo mode'.
"By the way, what's your name?"
Kiana suddenly asked out of the blue. Her voice was curious, yet her eyes remained fixed on the 'dead spot' in the sky.
"It's a bit unfair that you know me when I don't even know your name."
It felt really weird to have an unknown man keep calling her Kiana so intimately. Though she obviously won't slap him for that, can't a girl at least know the name of the weirdo?
"True." Adam blinked and nodded his head. "My name is Adam."
It was only at this moment that he realised- he never actually told her his name!
He's been too preoccupied by various thoughts to notice, and…He is too used to interacting with Kiana, so much so that he subconsciously thought that this girl already knew his name and him personally.
Of course, logically, that wasn't the case at all. But again: Habits are hard to break!
"Adam…"
Kiana chewed on his name, looking sideways at him as unknown thoughts flashed in her head.
Then, she fell silent once again.
An awkward silence befell both of them. At least, it was awkward for Adam.
But he didn't really know what to say. And he also hesitated whether to communicate in the familiar way he interacts with his Kiana on a daily basis.
She's Kiana, yet she isn't her. This has left him in an awkward position of being familiar yet not at the same time.
Fortunately, he didn't have to bear with the silence for long-
Booom
Thunder flashed, lightning roared.
"This…"
As red lightning illuminated both of their faces, Kiana's expression changed instantly, her body tensing.
"...."
Adam also frowned.
Because, simply put-
He forgot about Mei!
That's right, he forgot that a super powerful ultra beefed up Herrscher of Thunder was on the rooftop of this building!
"Tch."
The silver-haired boy clicked his tongue, barely suppressing the urge to curse outloud
"Should we investigate?"
He made eye contact with the white-haired girl and asked.
"...."
With a grim face, Kiana nodded resolutely.

In the luxurious halls of Senba Academy, two figures could be seen running towards the stairs.
Everywhere the eye could see was filled with pale zombies. The air stank of decay. And these creatures all swarmed the only two alive figures.
"This was a stupid decision!"
BAM
One figure-a white-haired girl- shouted as she bludgeoned an attacking zombie with her baseball bat.
"Hey! We don't really have any other choice here!"
The other figure- a silver-haired boy- clicked his tongue and shouted back at her as reddish-pink threads of pure honkai energy ejected from his hands and sliced the zombies surrounding him with clean precision.
"Also, stop trying to fight!"
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
After slicing a zombie that was about to attack Kiana from behind into several pieces, Adam glared at her
"We should be freaking running with all our might instead of beating some zombie ass!"
The silver-haired boy continued shouting, ducking suddenly as a pure black scythe swept over where his neck previously was.
"I'm sorry about that! I'm not that good at math, so I miscalculated!"
At her words, he couldn't help but look at her with a deadpan 'are you serious' expression- even though they were in a perilous situation.
"That doesn't really make sense…."
With a pale pink glow faintly covering his hands, Adam violently ripped off the head of his attacker as he muttered to himself
"It does-!"
The white-haired girl heard his muttering. And just as she was about to retort-
CRASHHH
A crashing sound echoed throughout the hallway-
THUD
Right after, the sound of a body hitting the ground reached their ears.
"What the…"
Dodging yet another attack, Adam quickly backtracked, distancing himself and looking towards the sound.
It was a girl who was dropped 'peacefully' to the floor-
Dark violet hair fell in layered waves past her shoulders, the ends dissolving into streaks of rose-pink like embers fading into smoke. A ribbon sat loosely atop her head, very disheveled.
Her half-lidded and dazed eyes were pinkish-crimson. Her pupils held the look of someone who was asking, 'Where am I? Who am I? When am I?'
An oversized jacket hung from her shoulders, torn in various places. Beneath it, a school uniform peeked through: a white blouse softened by wrinkles with a yellow ribbon-tie. Her plaid skirt swayed just above dark purple stockings.
"Haah….Haah…"
The girl who appeared out of nowhere breathed heavily, body trembling as she exerted effort with trembling hands and pushed herself to stand.
Then, her pinkish-crimson eyes snapped wide open, locking onto an approaching honkai zombie.
"You spawn of evil god!"
Shouting loudly, the girl gritted her teeth as she raised her hands in a boxing stance.
There were two pairs of eyes watching her. However, the girl either didn't notice, or just didn't care
"Take this salvation punch of annihilation!"
She passionately announced her move, jumping towards her foe, arm extended into a punching motion that promised a hurtful move full of passionate 'love'!
