Orion and Torrent stepped outside the carriage and saw a small group of people near the gate of Ring City.There were four people at the gate,one woman and three men.
"These are the adventurers you will be working with for this task so try to get along.They dont know about your situation so try to keep quiet about it."whispered Torrent as he and Orion headed towards the party.
"Hello are you Valdel and Torrent we've been waiting for you.My name is Eric by the way."The one who spoke was a man called Eric.
Eric was a tall muscular man with a barrel like chest.He had blonde hair and green eyes.He wore steel armour and wielded a great axe.He seemed quite friendly going by his introduction.
"Sorry about the wait we had to take a slow detour in order to avoid the rampaging dark mage in Ring City."Torrent immediately apologised to Eric as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"It's completely fine although we heard that the dark mage had surrendered and handed himself in to the custody of a royal guard captain by the name of Kerry the Slicer.They'll be holding his trial later this afternoon.I hope you'll be there to see justice be done.My name is Ruth by the way."The one who spoke up was a woman by the name of Ruth.
Ruth was a somewhat tall woman with a voluptuous body.She was blonde and had blue eyes.She was dressed like a priestess and wielded a pole arm that had a large steel cross at the end and was surrounded by a steel circle.
"As long as we get paid for this I don't really care how long we have to wait.We're supposed to capture abnormal goblins dead or alive aren't we.Lets get on with it."The man who spoke was known as Viron as Orion had used his assessment skill to find out his name.He was a tall lanky man dressed like an archer.He had dark hair and purple eyes.
"Now now Viron there's no harm in getting friendly with other people.Having a few friends is never going to hurt you.My name is Varick by the way."The one who spoke was a man known as Varick.
Varick was a walking tank of a man who was wearing heavy armour and wielded a large steel shield.Orion couldn't make out his facial features as he wore a large helmet.
"Alright now that everyone's here we should go on one mission.Just follow me as I know the location of the farm."Torrent spoke up and got everyone to follow him.
The group then left the gate and looked around at the buildings and architecture outside the outer wall of Ring City.They then ventured forth for five hours until they reached their destination.
They were currently on the outside of a tomato farm.The tomato plants had full luscious tomatoes on their stalks.Some weren't ripe yet whilst others were ripe for the picking.The were multiple wagons filled with sacks that were filled with tomatoes.
"Right now that we're here we'll ask the farmer for his report and then we go and search for abnormal goblins.Once we're done I'll teleport us back to Ring City and you adventurers will be paid."Torrent came up with their plan of action but Viron had a question.
"If you could teleport all along then why did we have to walk all the way here?."asked Viron with an annoyed tone but he immediately became more respectful when he saw Torrents annoyed tone.
"I have better things to do then visiting farms all day such as magic research and experimentation."Torrent said as Viron became silent and vowed to himself that he would think about what he said in the future.
"Say why is there no one tending to the tomato plants.Most of them are ripe for the picking."Ruth asked as she looked around the vast farm.
"The farmer and his family are probably having a break from work and are inside that large house or are inside the barn."Torrent came up with a reasonable explanation.
"Why are there no farm animals?.A farm this luxurious and large should at least have a dog or a cat,some chickens and or goats,even some cows and a bull should have been expected."Eric even saw a hen house and a dog house but none of the forementioned animals.
"The animals are probably sleeping or out grazing in the fields same as the farmer and his family."Torrenr came up with another reasonable explanation for the abnormality.
Orion and the others weren't so positive however as there were clearly a lot of red flags.As the group entered the farm Ruth clearly saw something through the window and was startled but then relaxed.
"What is it Ruth?."asked Torrent.
"Nothing I just saw some small children at the window."said a relaxed Ruth.
"Thats impossible all the farmers children are all grown up."said Torrent as he looked up at the window.
