"So," There was a pause, "you're Trix?" She was surprised, nobody called her that before. "My name is Tatsuo. You can call me Tao for short."
For some reason, Beatrice felt nervous. "So, you're going to be my brother?" he nods, "Well," she stuck her hand out, "Nice to meet you," she was questioning what she should call him, "Tatsuo."
"Now, don't act like strangers!" Mrs.Dao pulled all of them in for a hug. "Now, we're going to have to get home quickly!" now Beatrice was very confused.
"But I've only just met you and Tatsuo, how did you choose me so fast?" Mrs.Dao shook her head and pointed toward Mr.Dao. "He wanted to adopt me that badly?" she nods and starts walking away.
"Don't forget anything!" she turns around quickly, "We are going to have so much fun!" she turns to Tatsuo, "Can you help her?"
"No, I haven't gotten to know her that well, she can gain my trust first." Mrs.Dao shakes her head but then nods understandingly.
"We'll get our butler to help," Mrs.Dao calls him over and he helps take Beatrice's things to a black van. Beatrice looks at the people in amazement. Until she sees the car.
"Aren't you wealthy?" she looks at the van up and down. Then back at her… brother? That's what she should call him now right?
"What would you think we would have? A Lambo?" Tatsuo started to laugh, "My parents aren't like that, they hate fancy cars and stuff like that, but they like being rich." I look at him and think over his words.
"Smart," She tells Tatsou.
"Yep." And he answers proudly.
When they got into the van Beatrice started the conversation. "So Tatsuo, how's your life?" she was naturally trying to get to know them, get information. Just like the saying 'Information is worth more than gold in the modern world'.
"It's okay, the normal." he turns away, he looks like he's staring into nothingness.
"What are you thinking about?" He ignores her, "Are you thinking about a special someone?" Tatsuo turns bright red. "What's their name?" Beatrice starts to tease him.
"It's no one!" he turns away more.
"Come on, tell your sister!"
"No."
"Come onnnNNN!" he shushes her, "Are you dating?" he turns around and drops his face.
"No…" He whispers silently.
"Does he know that you like him?"
He shakes his head. "Well," she tells him to get his attention and finally Tatsou looks at her. "What's his name, maybe I could help you."
"His name is Finn." Tatsuo looks at her hopefully, "Will you help?"
She gasps "How could I not?!!?!" she does a grabbing motion, "Picture now." he sighs and gets out his phone, and Beatrice sees a picture of Finn right away. She takes the phone out of Tatsuo's hand. "He is adorable! You two look so cute together," she gave him back his phone, "I'll have to meet him soon."
"Yes, you do…" That was when Beatrice saw Tatsuo smile for the first time at her.
"Are you ready to see the house?" Mrs.Dao turned around in the car, she had a huge smile on her face, Beatrice could tell she heard all of that conversation and smiled back at her. Why did she smile? She never smiled back at anybody. It was probably just an impulse.
"Yes I am," she said as she stepped out of the van.
