Chapter 73 - ch. 73 Nuisance eliminated

Screams of pain rang out as webs of acid began to be sprayed into the crowd of vampires. Some came from the ceiling and shot onto the heads of the vampires, temporarily disabling them, and some came from below burning the feet off of vampires, crippling them.

Like a scythe through wheat, Nick began tearing through the crowd of vampires. His blades slashing out at a vampire who tried to block, only for his machete to glow orange. The blade easily sliced through the hand and lopped the vampire's head off, the Chi causing its body to turn into ash.

At that moment, a vampire whose hands had been burnt off by a spider, lunged forward with his teeth bared trying to rip Nicks throat out. He ignored this Vampire in favor of targeting one whos claws were rocketing towards his ankle, instead he just flared out his Chi as defense!

The moment armless Vampire teeth came into contact with Nick's glowing neck, its face melted off like cotten in water. With this Vampire effectively killing itself, Nick stabbed down piercing the skull of the vampire targeting his ankle.

'Chi is the perfect kryptonite to vampires, sadly I'm not the Iron Fist who has near endless Chi thanks to a dragon, Im already running low!' Due to his Chi being used to attack and defend, Nick was feeling the drain.

Thanks to his absorption ability Nick has more Chi compared to the average person, but it didnt mean it he had a massive reserve. His self taught Chi manipulation was also quite inefficient, making him run oht rather quickly.

Forced to tone down his Chi usage, Nick's exosuit whirred as it empowered his already superhuman strength to bisect a vampire's torso, a spider immediately shooting a line of webs across its neck, burning it off and killing them.

Panting heavily, Nick spun around ready for the next attack only to see the vampire watching him from a distance, terror riddling their faces.

Nick was now caked in blood, his machetes chipped from constantly cutting through bone and was surrounded by dozens of bodies. Stomping forward towards the next vampire, the feeling of death overcame them as Nick lookee more monstrous than any vampire!

Fearing the overwhelming onslaught of Nick and his spiders, the vampires made the wise choice of immediately fleeing, not realizing they'd face something even worse than Nick...

As the first fleeing vampire opened the door to exit the club, a wave of flames ran through the door, burning everyone in front of its 10ft path! Like a gasoline soaked towel, the vampire were immediately set ablaze and burnt in agonizing pain for a few seconds before finally dying.

As the wall of flames died down, it was revealed that the fire was the work of just three drones! With a path now cleared, a dozen drones flew over the smoldering vampire body's and into the club to begin their slaughter.

Bullets shot from drones and soaked in Deadmans blood tore into vampires, fatally poisoning them, while flame thrower drones burnt anything that moved.

Nick, seeing that the drones had already entered, decided to make a full retreat. Jumping up with his antigravity harness, Nick landed at the stairs leading to the office with a light tap. His blades were drenched in black blood, but he sheathed them anyway as he went upstairs, the screams of burning vampires filled his ears.

Walking back into Deacon's office, Nick unplugged the hard drive and put it in a waterproof bag along with his phone. He then went over to Deacon's liquor cabinet, ripping it off the wall before flicking his wrist.

Thick strands of acid webbing shot of his hand as he formed a circle, burning a hole straight through the concrete wall and leading outside.

The fresh air immediately hit his nose and overpowered the burnt flesh and iron, the night air felt amazing on his skin.Throwing off his overcoat and revealing his naked upper body, bat-like wings grew out of his back as he took off for the skies.

Hearing the sound of sirens in the distance, Micro ordered the drones to leave. He was going to do so anyway since the entire club was silent, the nearly 300 vampires had been killed with ease.

With Micro's amazing tech abilities, Nick didn't need to worry about being caught on camera, but he played it safe anyway. Flying above Willow Lake, Nick took a deep breath before deactivating his wings and falling into the water.

Nick swam for 15 minutes towards the nearest water source by his building, his Orca absorption allowing him to hold his breath for hours and not have to resurface. By now, he had reverted back to his actual appearance and the water had washed away most of the blood.

With everything done, Nick resurfaced shirtless but quickly made his way back to the building. Micro was following his movements on camera and erased the footage, making it completely impossible to trace him.

As he walked into his building, Nick saw an awestruck Micro. The man was still feeling the adrenaline rush from killing all of those vampires with the drone, but now he was pumped about something else.

"Dude, check this out, it's Deacon's assets! I liquidated everything!" On the screen were multiple figures in multiple accounts, but Nick rounded everything up in his head and realized it was slightly over 470 million dollars!

Micro had to quickly liquidate everything, so this was the worth of all of Deacon's assets at well below market price!

"That's great, Micro, keep half for yourself and put the other half into the company's account." Micro's eyes widened at this, but he nodded slowly.

Nick wasn't a computer genius like Micro and wouldn't have been able to get a penny out of Deacon, he didnt even know how it was possible to sell everything within the 30 minutes, so any money was considered a boon for Nick.

He also realized that if he wanted to earn Micro's trust and loyalty, he'd better treat him like an equal. Giving him half of the loot shows Nick valued the software genius.

"Make sure to send over the data and information to Phil Coulson anonymously. They need to catch all the undead rats connected to Deacon before they go into hiding." Nick could've contacted Holly or Phil himself but preferred they didn't know about his involvement.

Nick preferred to keep his abilities a secret for as long as he could. Revealing himself as a vigilante would only bring him legal trouble and supervillains.

With the small hiccups like this giant coven of vampires taken care of, Nick had bigger and better things to take care of. He still had to secure a contract with a big company for his drone transportation. Ideally, Amazon was the greatest choice, but big grocery chains like Walmart or Target could suffice.

Thankfully, Nick had a couple of trump cards up his sleeve to secure Amazon's transportation contract and was confident; he just needed to have a meeting.

Calling up a number that Nick managed to get from an Oscorp Industries executive, the company that was manufacturing Nick's AMS Exosuits, the phone call rang as a woman's voice came over.

"Hello? Who is this?" Her voice sounded impatient; she was no doubt overworked. She was one of the 11 executives at Amazon; she no doubt had a full plate.

"Hello, I am Nick Valentine from Valentine Industries.

"I hope that you've heard of me?" Nick put on his most charming voice; the woman didn't sound too impressed by it.

"Yeah, I've heard of it. You're already so popular, yet you only sell two things," the woman tried to downplay Nick's company, an obvious power tactic from someone in a much higher position.

"Two things that the world has never seen or heard of, but that's not the point. I've come to propose an offer that will greatly benefit both my and your company." Nick's voice sounded unfazed by the woman's dominant voice.

"What service is that?" Her voice was slightly intrigued.

"I don't think words would do it justice. May I demonstrate it for the executives at Amazon?" The woman's voice went silent; she wanted to refuse Nick, but her gut told her this could be an opportunity.

"Two days from now, the executives are having a meeting with someone else. Be at the company headquarters by 4:45, and we'll squeeze you in for fifteen minutes to demonstrate whatever it is."

Nick's face lit up, "That sounds perfect!"
