Buying an old moving van, Nick returned to Micro's base and helped him move. The two kept everything of importance and cleaned up any trace of Micro's existence.
With everything packed up from Micro's base, Nick drove back to his building. The entire time Micro was in the back seat with his head down and glass on, he was worried about any camera catching his face.
Parking the car in the backyard over the fresh grave of Hand Ninja, Nick helped Micro set up. Nick carried all of the computers into the small, unused section of the lab.
There was no room upstairs for Micro's bedroom, so he chose the basement. The hacker was shocked, seeing nearly two hundred weaponized drones sitting on shelves.
"Those were one of the reasons I recruited you," Nick said, carrying a box full of Micro's things.
"As of now, they shoot everything that moves. I need them to only shoot my enemies. Can you do that?" Looking at the barrel under the drone, Micro nodded rather casually.
"Is that it? I can have that done by the week." Micro had already achieved something similar to what was being asked.
He'd already hacked into public street cameras and used facial and gait recognition software to analyze who someone was, matching it against both police records and social media platforms to learn someones identity.
Hearing how fast he could get it done, Nick knew he found his the perfect guy and planned on locking him down into the company just like Peter. The vulture granted Nick knowledge and talent about building hardware, Micro will handle the software!
"Just tell me who, when, and where the people who are after your life is. I'll handle the rest." Nick was confident in his abilities, the enemies after Micro are just human and Nick was confident in being able to eliminate any non superpowered human.
Micro's face tightened at this statement, his mind whirling about the possibilities of what Nick said, realizing that he was incredibly close to seeing his family again face to face.
"There are two people you'll need to... take care of, William Rawlins and his ambitious attack dog, Billy Russo."
Micro was a tech nerd, he'd never thought about murdering anyone but he was getting desperate and these people were after him.
"I've already told you about Rawlins, but Billy might even be more dangerous to go after. He's the head of Anvil, the 29th largest private military firm in America, with over a hundred trained killers employed by him." Micro expected Nick's eyes to widen or for him to gasp in shock, but he remained unfazed.
"Just give me a picture of their faces and where they'll be. If these two are the only ones in the way of you seeing your family, you'll be seeing them soon."
There wpuld be hundreds of people who would want Micro killed after what he saw, but it was only Rawlins and his henchmen who knew it was Micro who saw the tapes. If Rawlins was out of the picture, then Micro could just create a fake identity and join his family without anyone being the wiser.
As for Russo, he was Rawlins right-hand man and enforce but he had little loyalty for him. If Rawlins died, Russo would jump ship to another powerful backer and bring his knowledge with him. The chances of Russo seeing Micro and reporting that he's still alive was slim, but Micro wouldn't take that chance for his family.
When Micro had been "killed", he was shot in his chest and fell into the sea. The bullet luckily hit Micro's phone and had stopped most of damage, so while they strongly believed Micro was dead, they have yet to find his body and hadnt put the final nail in the coffin of Micro.
"I dont know where Rawlins is, that bastard is a tough cookie to track but i do know where Russo is. After taking care of him... get me his phone and with it i should be able to pinpoint Rawlins location." Micro handed Nick a laptop that had all of Russo information, his face, date of birth, parents, social security number, and even his daily schedule!
This was one of the reasons Nick was recruiting Micro, the mans a genius on the computer and could find out just about anything if it was online. Except for the insane supernatural geniuses and AI, Micro was undoubtedly the best normal human hacker in the world!
Looking at the laptop, besides all of that info on Russo he saw a map with a blinking figure on it, it was the headquarters of Anvil!
"I dont know how you plan on bypassing dozens of trained killers and getting to Russo but ill leave it you, just get me the phone when its all done." Not knowing Nicks full abilities, Micro assumed he'd somehow use his telekinesis to strangle Russo on the top floor and steal the phone.
Nick didnt tell him that his telekinesis only worked on things he touched, meaning heal have to get in close for Russo's phone!
"Ill head out right now to take care of your problem, if a kid comes by named Peter, don't mention anything to him! No assasination plot, no tragic backstory, no telekinesis, nothing! Just tell him your a new hire that focuses on programming."
Nick wanted to keep his powers and strength a secret from Peter, ideally until he switches out the Creeper for something stronger. He still needed to be cautious of the fact that Peter might find out Nick was the man who killed the Vulture in front of him.
Peter saw first hand a blonde man with Batwings and telekinesis killing the vulture, once he swapped those powers out would he reveal himself. Looking at the tablet of info that Micro had given him, Nick saw that Russo drove an all black 2009 Audi Q7.
With that info in mind, he drove over an hour to Manhatten and eventually found the Anvil building. He was a little annoyed seeing they had a gated parking lot, camera's set up, and two guard who lets people in and out via the gate arm.
One guard lifted and closed the gate arm and the other watched the camera's making sure nobody climbed the barbwire fence.
'Assuming this info on Russo is correct, the guy always leaves on schedule at 8 to run the darker side of Anvil, Ive got just an hour to get this done.' Nick plan was simple and solid but he just had to get to Russo's car to execute it, meaning he had to bypass the guards.
Looking around wondering what he could do for minute's and coming up with nothing, he could easily bum rush through the fence but that would cause too much noise. While looking around casually, Nick spotted a hotdog stand causing him to remembered an ability of his.
Realizing something, he walked over to the cart and bought a plain hotdog. Eating the bun, Nick channeled the Acid spiders mouth ability and bite down, infecting the hotdog with spider eggs!
In the matter of just a minute he watched as four small spiders sprouted out from the now shriveled up hotdog, he quickly felt the faint telepathic ability to control them! They only lived for an hour outside of their mist before they turned to goo, but an hour is all he needs!
Controlling the spiders to crawl into the guard shack via its open window, Nick began walking along the sidewalk next to the chained linked fence. Just as Nick was on the far edges away from the guards, he controlled his spiders to drop down from the ceiling to cause a distractions!
With his echolocation on, he sensed they'd began panicking and looking away from the camera. Using the moment of panicking, Nick hopped over the fence thanks to his Anti Gravity harness and ran to the nearest car before controling the acid spiders to leave the guard shack.
Thankfully they didnt squish one or else they'd have seen its body start burning a hole into the floor and their shoes!
After everything calmed down and the gaurds returned to their post after a couple minutes, Nick covertly made his way over to the only black Audi in the parking lot before touching it.
He channeled his telekinesis on the car, making it roll down the back window just a bit as a 6 inch needle flew in and hid itself in the back seat.
With everything set up, Nick closed the window and backed away and walked back to the fence. He planned on using his spiders once again to draw their attention away from the camera but saw that the guards were actually changing shifts.
He watched and heard as the four guards started up a quick thirty second conversation about Michigan State beating Notre Daime in football, and talking about their insane encounter with four giant spiders. During that time there eyes were off of the camera and Nick hopped the fence.
'These guys sure suck at their job, when i hire security guards for my company ill need to make sure they're all competent.' Nick forgave them for the spider distraction but not looking at the camera's because of football and spider talk was very careless.
With his trap set, Nick just had to wait for Russo!
