Chapter 58 - ch. 58 Managing the company

Running full sprint Nick suddenly straightened his leg, the mechanic frame on his lower half whirled as it sense he was attempting to stop. The machine deceleration the output in his legs until Nick came to a stop 2 seconds later.

"Theres a bit of a latency, this latency will cost lives on the battlefield but shouldnt matter in the civilain sector. I think the civilain version is ready to be sold, what do you think we should name them kid?" Nick said to Peter who sat and watched on a stool.

It had been 2 months since Nick scooped Peter into his company, during the entire time Nick got closer and did everything to try and make Peter stay with his company

During that time he and Peter had managed to create a rough operating system, it was a bit janky for war but was fine for the civilain market. He ultimately planned on selling these to the military for a marked up price, besides getting the program perfect he'll also have to hold off on selling them until Hydra is dealt with.

He could only imagine the headache he'd have in the future if hydra manages to get their hands onto his exosuits, itd essentially make every Hydra agent on part with captain America!

"A name? Well If you plan on selling to the Military, something simple like Valentine Exosuits work. As for the civilain market... Seeing as how this will be our companies first invention, the names got to be Sleek ... How about A.M.S., Augmented Mobility System." Peter casually said as he was sodering his webshooters.

"Sounds good for me, we've gotten everything squared away patent wise but now the real problem is manufacturing. Who's gonna be able manufacture the AMS, its a very precise and complex machine. I dont want the manufacturer to mess it up and get sued for a malfunction. "

Nick really wanted Peter to stay at his company even after he graduated so he easily accepted the mame, he even made Peters part time salary $40 an hour and funded all of the boys projects.

Peter Parker didnt look like any of the three spiderman Nicks seen in the movies, he didnt know how he'll grow up or his future. He just hoped the incentives were enough to make Peter stay with him.

"How about Tony Stark? His suits are much more complex and intricate than the AMS, he'd be able to manufacturer them no problem." Finishing up his sodering, Peter put his web shooter on and aimed at the wall.

He fired his web into it when suddenly an electric current ran along his webbing, this was a single use electric cartridge that he could attach to his webshooters! With Nicks resources, he immediately got to work upgrading his equipment.

"Tony Starks suits are for personal use, i doubt he has a factory to mass produce them and even if he didnt he definitely would let us use them... What about Oscorp, they work for the government on top secret products so they cant outsource overseas. Do you think you could ask Norman Osborn about it, you could take the prototype AMS to show him?"

"I suppose i could try, Im having dinner at their house tomorrow so ill ask then. With how world change this'll be im sure Mr. Osborn would accept, but he'll sure want in on it" Peter said as he began cleaning up the web fluid.

'Im just an up and coming company with no backing and a very promising inventions, if i dont partner with someone powerful ill be screwed over. With Oscorp, ill definitely take a hit profit wise but I'll ensure i wont be bullied'

"That sounds reasonable, give him my number if he wants to work with us and ill negotiate the contract." Nick said knowing he'll probably be screwed over by Osborn.

The problem with cutting edge technology, was that very few places could make them! Just the bare materials cost was quite cheap at just over $1000, depending on how much it costed to manufacturer them, the final price for the AMS can range between $10000-$20000.

This was by no means cheap but it was possible for the average person to purchase, especially after a couple year when a second hand market appears and people could buy used AMS for cheap.

He wanted to make some profit but also make this affordable for normal people, it could not only allow 90 year olds to be able to walk again but it also help with the labor force. After enough time passes and Nick gets a better coder, he could potentially create AMS for the paralyzed to be able to walk again on their own!

'Perhaps after my company starts growing bigger, I can absorb a manufacturing company and build our products in-house. In the long run it'll be a cheaper, of course ill have to be raking in a lot of money before i can do that.'

These past months have been busy for Nick, while he hadnt fought an anomaly he was just as stressful as when he did! He was just grateful that he could now toggle his curse now, he never turned it off completely but it was low enough that he wasnt constantly be attacked by anomalies.

His games were comming along well, Five Nights at Freddy's was in its beta and it was nearly an exact replica of the one in his old world. Those that played it seemed to enjoy it and the game was growing in popularity after a youtuber got ahold of a beta version and unploaded the footage.

Nick knew first hand just how well youtube video could make games explode in popularity, he was ab editor for a youtuber in his past world after all.

After learning Programming Nick understood and point some things out to these studios but Nick focused on two games in particular, they were mobile games called Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. This was Nicks magnum opus, if he played his cards these game alone would rake in billion.

The company creating this game, OmniRex, was in a similar state to GreyBox studios. Nick managed to buy up most of their stock and even payed them to give him 42% of the royalties on the game. This costed him millions but he knew full well its worth it.

Nick was particularly hands on with OmniRex, it was to the point Nick hired himself at the Company to work remotely. Nick worked on fine tuning the game to his memories, altering the game mechanics slightly and the store options.

The developers at OmniRex were annoyed Nick was micro managing them but he didnt care, the game needed to be perfect and he'd make it so to gain the money needed to create his tools!

Waking up Nick began his morning routine, he did a bit of excersing and trained his Chi.

After exercising, he took a shower, cooked some breakfast before walking out of his room and directly into the research lab. Nick had been living at Valentine Industries, it was only him and Peter that used the place so he didnt see the point in buying a house, not to mention it's easier and safer to live here than elsewhere thanks to the security.

Using his Echolocation to make sure Peter wasnt in, Nick moved the large desk pressed up against the wall and gave the wall a push. The door caved in revealing Nicks secret project, it was the Anti Gravity harness!

Nick had been recreating it based on the Vultures memories, it a was a lengthy but relatively easy process thanks to already knowing exactly how to make it. The anti-gravity Harness was a thin laptop size contraption that fit on your back, it had harnesses that secured it snuggly to your body.

The way the harness worked was by tapping into the planets electromagnetic field, allowing the contraption to influence and suspend gravity on a localized level. This meant that it was completely useless in space, but could still work on other planets.

At this point all it could do was control the gravity on just the user, Nicks main goal was to expand the machines influence on a larger level allowing him to make object weightless.

There was also the far off, and just theoretical, idea that if he could expand the influence to others he could easily make the machine increase gravity instead of decreasing if. All that to say, he could theoretically weaponize this suit to increase others gravity!

"So much stuff to do, its best to put this one on the back burner to focus quality of life inventions that people would actually buy. The more money i have the more scientist i can employ to work on the civilain sector items" Nick looked down at the list of things to do in his hand.

[Ring doorbells, Drones, Alexa, wireless earbuds, wireless headsets] Nick would of course change the names of some to fit his companies image.

He was starting to realize he had a problem as he looked at the list, he was making more and more money but wasn't actually using much of it.

He's already seeing major Growth in his Netflix stock, when the streaming craze fully takes off his stock will skyrocket. At that time, he'll be investing in all of the major streaming platforms to rake in even more money.

Besides netflix, Nick had already spent over a hundred million in stock of Spotify, Amazon, and Microsoft. There stock was so incredibly cheap right now compared to the future that Nick felt stupid not investing.

Not to mention one of his game, Subway surfer, was blowing up and was top 5 apps within the appstore. His stock in the studio that made the game made had been multiplied by a hundred and still rising! Nick just had to be aware and sell when the hype around the game starts to die off.

Nick's 300 million dollars, after being taxed, that he got from Stark stock had been safely reinvested into many companies, had turned into 400 and quickly approaching 500 million!

Every now and then his prediction of which companies would grow had been wrong and he lost millions, that loss was quickly made up for by the multiple other companies that did grown to his memory.

He'd already bought his self imposed limit of 1,000,000 bitcoin for literal pennies. Given a decade this alone would net him over a billion dollars, he put his bitcoin in a Crypto currency waller that wasn't connected to the internet.

Ideally he put the wallet into a safety deposit box, but places like that get robbed every year in this chaotic world. So he spent a week creating and hiding a seemingly uncrackable safe with Peter and left the wallet in there.

'Now that ive got an overflow of money, i need to spend it on overcoming my shortcomings. Im decently strong in a one on one, but if i were to face off against an army of Aliens ill need something more.' Looking back down at his list, Nicks eyes washed over the Drone.

"Two birds with one stone, ill begin creating drones for commercial use and then drones for combat!" Just as he walked towards the computer to research drone technology, his phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID was Peter be answered it.

"Whats up?"

"Mr. Osborn saw the AMS in action and wants to get in contact with you." Nick smiled brightly knowing he found his manufacturer and the fate of the AMS was secured, his company was about to unvail its first product to the world!
