Chapter 2
As the new semester begins at Seirin High School, the basketball team's members engage in promoting their club to incoming students. Shinji Koganei, Shun Izuki, and Rinnosuke Mitobe distribute flyers, hoping to attract new talent. Meanwhile, Taiga Kagami catches Koganei's attention, leading him to Riko Aida and Junpei Hyūga, the team's coach and captain. Kagami's nonchalant application raises eyebrows, but the discovery of an application left by Tetsuya Kuroko stirs intrigue.
Just as the team ponders the implications of Kuroko's application, a mysterious individual approaches them—Itoshi Kaito. Without uttering a word, he leaves only his application form, which states his name and his former school, Teiko Middle School. Breaking the silence once again, the gym door swung open, and someone walked in—a figure named Kaito. Riko inquired about his identity, and Kaito responded in a deadpan tone, revealing his name. It was then that Riko's curiosity was piqued, her mind racing with questions.
Quickly recovering her focus, Riko instructed Kaito to remove his shirt, wanting to assess his physical condition. The scene shifted abruptly, and Riko found herself on a bus heading home, lost in her thoughts.
