Decus 2, 3023, Day of Satur, 7:34 a.m.

Temple of Priests Residential Building, Inquisitory Division Headquarters, Holy City.

Vivian was inside her room and standing in front of a full mirror, checking her outfit.

Hmm…

Not bad…

She was wearing a black suit with a black tie, black 2-inch-heeled shoes, black gloves, and a white blouse.

She inserted her hands inside the pockets of her pants.

And I now have proper pockets…

Naturally, there wasn't any clothing like this in this world, so she had to provide a drawing to the tailor to make one for her and it took them 3 days to complete it.

She had 3 sets.

Well, there is the normal blouse and pants…

Or long-sleeved sweatshirt and pants…

But I never liked those…

Vooom!

She turned into a blur. And when she returned, she was now wearing an Inquisitor Full-Mask and her golden necklace that had her Class Crystal.

Hmm…

I think it's too much…

I look like I'm part of a cult…

Vooom!

She turned to a blur once again. This time around, when she returned, she was now wearing her Inquisitor Half-Mask.

What the hell…

This time I look like a Yakuza…

Give me a samurai sword and I'll definitely look like one…

She let out a defeated sigh.

But I really want to wear this to battle the cold weather…

Because I sure as hell can't wear my normal tight-fitting long-sleeved turtleneck short dress…

Unless I don't mind feeling cold on my upper thighs and freezing my vagina…

She glanced at the clock.

7:37 a.m.

I told Pen that I will return to Gru'n Town today…

And as for the things and meetings he told me that I needed to do, I told him that I would do them after this Field Mission…

She returned her attention to her reflection in the full mirror.

Whatever…

I just hope they're not yet done with the investigation…

Because I want to at least wear this outfit for at least 3 days…

Her gaze focused on her black tie and white shirt.

I really wanted to have a black shirt and a red tie…

It would match my purple hair and red highlights…

But the God-damned Temple of Priests has taken over the color red with their Red Cloak…!

She fixed her tie.

I could also use black shirt and white tie, but I don't like it…

It looks ugly…

She let out a sigh.

The Temple has taken all of the best colors…

Red, gray, gold and white…

Well…

I don't know about a gold tie…

But a white tie, definitely not…

I mean, yeah, it's fine, but I rather wear a white shirt over a white tie…

But why did they choose brown…?

God, I hated wearing that Brown Cloak…

Looks so dirty, cheap…

She flicked her long hair to the sides with her hands.

"Thank God I'm beautiful…

"At least this one no one can take this from me…"

She recalled some of the beautiful people she met in this world, such as Marie from the Luxen Chapter Temple and Arianna from the Marbleam Chapter Temple.

Well, okay…

A few…

But I'm the most powerful, so I still win no matter what…

"God, I hate that Marie. She has that subtle passive-aggressive-demeaning way of talking, like she's talking to a child, even if the person she's talking to is someone older. Like bitch, you're not my fucking leader, nor do I have any intention of following one, or joining your Beautiful People or Mean Girl's club where you're the leader.

She checked her reflection one more time.

"Yeah, thank God I'm beautiful, smart and powerful."

And then pressed her face closer to the mirror to see if there were some scratches on her Inquisitor Half-Mask.

I still have to work on my attitude, though…

***

8:32 a.m.

A Green Draghorn carrying a full-plated Crusader was descending on an open and wide green field under a cold, cloudy and rainy autumn sky.

When the monster finally landed, the Crusader didn't dismount. However, there was someone from the Airport Terminal Building 7 jogging over to them with an umbrella he was using and an extra umbrella he was carrying.

It was a man and he was wearing a non-Priest uniform of the establishment.

The man immediately lowered his head when he arrived.

"Welcome to Airport Terminal Building 7, Honored Crusader," he said and then raised his head. "May I ask if you're Honored High Sergeant Crusader Juana?"

"I am."

"Honored Priestess Inquisitor Monad left a message for you: Once you arrive, you are to meet her at the Cafeteria Room, because she doesn't want to get wet by the rain."

Arrrwww….

Upon hearing the word "Monad", Pipi, Juana's flying mount, let out a low and scared whimper.

Juana immediately caressed its long neck.

"Mar-Relax, Mar-Pipi. Mar-She's mar-not mar-here. Mar-She's mar-not mar-going mar-to mar-hurt mar-you."

***

Vivian, with her Inquisitor Half-Mask and new outfit, was sitting alone at a table near a window. She had a suitcase that was sitting on top of one of the chairs. And in front of her were 3 slices of different cakes, a meat pie, a salad with dressing, a glass of wine with a bottle of wine, and a glass of water with a pitcher.

Before leaving the Inquisitory Division Headquarters, she ate breakfast, so she didn't have to eat that much.

She cut through one of the slices of cake with a fork, placed it into her mouth and stared outside the window.

This cake is not bad…

But it's also not good…

She swallowed.

It's getting colder…

In my male body, I've always been way more hornier in the colder seasons…

Looks like this female body is no different…

She returned her focus on the cake and took another slice.

Juana entered the Cafeteria with her helmet on her side and immediately headed over to Vivian when she spotted her.

When she finally reached Vivian, she immediately saluted.

"May the God of Light always watch over you, Sister Inquisitor Monad. I came here as you requested.."

Both women were taken aback by each other's appearance.

In the case of Juana, she was surprised to see Vivian's suit. And in her mind, she looked like a butler. Naturally, she chose not to say anything. Apart from Vivian's identity as an Inquisitor, her high Physical and Magic Force, and her personality, her usual clothes alone, specifically the black or white tight-fitting long-sleeved turtleneck short dress, was already a clothing style she had never seen before, so she dismissed it as nothing more than another "quirky clothing style" of Vivian.

Meanwhile, in the case of Vivian, she was surprised to see the dark and heavy eye bags on Juana's face.

What happened to this woman…?

Are they so busy at the Third Inner Border Checkpoint…?

Or is she still wallowing from her heartbreak until now…?

"May the God of Light always watch over you as well," she said and then waved her hand to one of the vacant seats. "Take a seat."

Juana sat down.

"As you may already know, I ordered one of the workers here to inform you to come here in case it was still raining -- I really don't want to get wet. And no, rain coats doesn't count.

It hasn't even been a few hours since I wore this outfit…

Like hell I'm going to force myself to walk around with wet gloves and socks…!

"Would you like something to drink or eat?"

Juana thought about a Magic Item Effect called, Rain-Protect, that shields the wearer from the rain. But in the end, after considering Vivian's personality, she decided to not say anything about it.

"Thank you for the offer, but I just had breakfast before coming here, so I'm still quite full."

Vivian nodded.

"I see," she said and then resumed eating her cake. "By the way, sister, what happened to your eyes? Have you not been sleeping lately?"

Juana lowered her gaze and stared at the food on the table.

"I… Yes, I just haven't been able to sleep these past few weeks…"

Few weeks…?

Vivian thought about the last time she and Juana last met.

The last time we met was back in Novus 20…

And I gave her an entire day to visit her family at the Marbleam Kingdom…

That was about 2 weeks ago…

She hasn't been sleeping for 2 weeks…?

Did something happen…?

Is Lennon making her and everyone there work overtime or extra hours…?

"Why?"

Juana raised her gaze.

"I've been training."

Sip.

Vivian finished the slice of cake, picked up her glass of wine, and took a sip.

I see…

So training…

"What kind of training?"

"Physical and Magic Arts."

Was it because of what happened at Mount Vald'mir…?

Now everyone is worried that the giant demon they saw might come attack…?

She shook her head mentally.

Humans…

They only move or take things seriously when there's an imminent threat…

"I see. So everyone there is busy training, huh."

Juana shook her head.

"No, it's just me. I mean, the rest still train and do their usual spar, but I'm training more than usual."

Well…

I guess there's also those type of humans…

The happy-go-luckies…

"I see," Vivian said and then proceeded to eat the other slice of cake.

After about a minute of silence, Vivian returned her focus on Juana.

"Sister, may I ask a question?"

"What is it, Sister Inquisitor?"

"Are you a virgin?"

Juana was caught in a surprise that she wasn't able to answer.

"Are you a virgin, sister?" Vivian asked once again.

Juana's cheeks turned red and then lowered her gaze.

"Of course…" she said in a whisper.

Vivian raised an eyebrow behind her half-mask.

Of course…?

And then her eyes turned to slits.

Well…

She looks like she's telling the truth…

And I don't want to rob that experience from her…

On the other hand, if she wasn't a virgin and she had more than 5 partners -- I only count males, well, I still wouldn't be interested…

Who knows what disgusting and smelly diseases she might have…

"I see," Vivian said and then moved to another dish.

"Sister Inquisitor, may I ask a question as well…?" Juana asked.

Vivian stopped what she was doing and then focused on her.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Is there a secret way to train faster?"

A confused expression flashed across Vivian's face.

"Huh?"

"Last time, I remember that you mentioned to Brother High Lieutenant Lennon that you will need to eat the raw meat of a monster that has Magic Art Affinities every 3 days, because it's part of your Lore Magic. Of course, I'm not asking you to divulge the secrets of your Lore Magic. But since you're very strong for your age, you must know other ways to train faster."

Vivian looked to the side.

Well...

It's not like I can tell her to destroy entire ecosystems…

Juana lowered her head.

"I'm very sorry, I shouldn't have asked that question…!

"I should've guessed that you have more than 2 Magic Art Affinities and you've been training so hard since you were young…!

"Even when you're at the Border Checkpoint, during the day you help the Guards train. And at night, you train alone either inside the training box you've built or you go to the Great Plains of Stanza…!"

She then covered her eyes with her hands as if she was trying to prevent herself from crying.

"If only we'd taken training seriously like you, instead of mocking you behind your back -- I only train 3 months a year outside of the Holy Crusade -- 2 months for Physical and Magic Arts and 1 month with my mounts -- I could've been stronger and I could've helped…!"

Vivian's jaw dropped.

What the fuck is going on…?

Is she in her period or something…?

And what did she mean by 'mocking me behind my back'…?

"Um… Sister, are you okay?"

Juana wiped the tears from her eyes.

"I'm very sorry, Sister Inquisitor, I didn't mean to show you this unsightly appearance, but I can't hold it in anymore…!"

Seriously, what the fuck is going on…?

Vivian casually waved her hand.

"I see, I see. Don't worry, I understand."

Should I have called Janis instead…?

But that fucking coward betrayed me and sided with Wind…!

Motherfucker…

Why must my [Primordial Beast] be cursed…?!

I literally spent so much time training [Savage Mastery] in order to get it…

But once I finally learned it, it turned out to be a fucking curse…!

Should I start to train my own Draghorn…?

I mean, at this point, this is the only viable solution…

She returned her attention to Juana and noticed that she was still wearing a sad and tearful expression while staring blankly at the food.

This bitch…

This 'Sad Girl' bitch…

I literally have to start calling her Sister Sad Girl…

Always sad or crying, or melancholic…

"Yes, sister, what you said it true. There is no shortcut or secret way to train faster. You just have to spend more time training."

"Sister Inquisitor, I haven't yet told anyone about this at Border Checkpoint… But the day when you ordered me to go visit and spend a day with my family at Espiritu Town… my family received a letter that my brother, Brother Carlos, was one of the Crusaders who passed away from the incident that happened at Mount Vald'mir…"

Juana covered her face with her hands once more.

"If only I've taken training seriously…! If only I was stronger…! I could've helped him…!"

And then began crying loudly.

Vivian covered her mouth and gasped.

Oh…

So that's what's been going on…

Well…

She looked around.

What should I do…?

An idea suddenly popped inside her head, and she returned her attention to Juana.

"Sister, please stop crying," she said and then pushed her glass of water towards her. "And drink this to calm yourself down."

A few moments later, Juana stopped crying and wiped her tears once again.

"Mar-I'm mar-really, mar-really mar-sorry, Mar-Sister Mar-Inquisitor… Mar-But mar-I mar-just mar-can't mar-help mar-it… Mar-It's mar-so mar-painful…"

Vivian pushed the glass towards Juana closer.

"Please drink this."

She turned to one of the servers behind the counter and made a sign for them to come.

A man approached them and then gave a bow.

"How may I be of service, Honored Priestess Inquisitor, Honored Crusader?"

"Bring us some tissues here."

I have a handkerchief with me…

But it's only for me…

And plus, it hasn't even been a few hours since I wore this outfit…

The man nodded.

"As you wish," he said and then turned to Juana. "Would the Honored Crusader also like a cup of hot tea to --"

"Hey, you only take and follow orders," Vivian said with a sharp tone.

The man gave a bow.

"My sincerest apologies, Honored Priestess Inquisitor."

Vivian waved him away.

"Go get the tissues right away. And if I sense you tampering them or anything, I'm going to skin you and your family alive. Trust me, that will happen and no one is going to stop me."

The man swallowed and then hurriedly left.

"Fucking annoying lower lifeform insect…" she cursed under her breath.

When she turned to Juana, although her eyes were still red and puffy, she was no longer crying, but she had hiccup cries.

"Sister, please drink the water."

"I'm… hi-! fine… hi-! Sister Inquisitor…"

"Just drink it," Vivian said in a commanding tone.

Sip.

Juana picked up the glass and then took a sip.

This is grown woman is like a baby…

The man from earlier returned with a couple of folded tissues on top of a small silver tray.

"Honored Priestess Inquisitor, here are the tissues you requested," he said and placed them on the table.

Vivian picked up two of the folded tissues and checked them.

"You may go," she said as she returned the tissues.

The man gave a quick bow and then immediately left.

"Here, wipe your tears with these."

Juana picked up a tissue and began wiping her tears.

After using 3 tissues, Vivian spoke.

"Sister, given your current situation, I suggest that I write you a letter to be submitted at the Fifth Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, requesting you to be counseled by a Guidance Counselor, and then have you take 1-2 weeks of Recovery away from the Border Checkpoint, perhaps at your family's home.

"Your mental and psychological health is not stable because of what happened with your former fiance, and now with your brother."

Juana shook her head.

"Please, Sister Inquisitor… Hi-! I don't want to abandon our comrades at the Border Checkpoint… If something also happens to them and I'm not there, I don't know if I could take it..."

Vivian pursed her lips as she suppressed her annoyance.

Nothing is going to happen to them or any of the Border Checkpoints, because it was me, you fucking idiotic Sister Sad Girl…

She nodded.

"Okay, but I will still need to write you a letter to be submitted at the Fifth Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, requesting you to be counseled by a Guidance Counselor.

"This isn't up for negotiation, because your current mental and psychological health isn't stable, and there's a possibility that you will only end up causing harm not just to yourself, but also to our companions. And if something bad does happen to you or our companions because of you, and me or Brother High Lieutenant Lennon failed to address and report it to the officials at the Fifth Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, he and I will be the ones in trouble.

"Do you understand me?"

Juana nodded.

"Hi-! Yes, Sister Inquisitor…"

Clak, clak!

Vivian grabbed her suitcase and opened it to take out a pen and paper.

What the fuck is Lennon doing at the Border Checkpoint...?!

I won't even be surprised if I arrive there and see that the place is completely messed up or destroyed because of the lack of discipline...!
