Jessica rushed to her father's chamber with deep worry in her heart. She looked stressed and wasn't as bright and bubbly as she usually was. Her hair looked as if it wasn't properly brushed as she told her maids off and not to come near without her permission. Jessica had even lost some weight making her collarbones almost pierce through her skin.
She didn't ask Kev any further questions about what Raymond wanted her for. In fact, she wanted Kev to be out of her sight as quickly as possible. So, immediately he mentioned her father wanted her, she brushed and pushed past Kev, leaving him in her chamber to do whatever he wanted.
Since Jeffery left, Jessica had lost the will to socialize or even laugh with anyone. The last person she wanted to see was Kev as she got feelers that Kev must have said some things to Jeffery. She was so upset to even ask him what role he played in Jeffery leaving her the way he did. But Jessica thought one say, they would have that inevitable conversation.
