Chapter 18 - Desperate Situation

My shoulder... It's really sore...

I try to pull myself up with both hands.

"There!" Pushing with my right arm, I feel a pain like a needle piercing my muscles.

Crap...

Lifting myself up with my left hand, I see that my sword is a little further to my right.

The golem comes after me without giving me time to plan anything.

I run to my sword and pick it up.

I'm not left-handed, but I'll have to fight anyway!

Damn it, my right arm is numb. I must have broken my shoulder.

The golem raises its right hand, preparing to punch me!

I'll dodge... You can come!!

"AAAH!!" Suddenly, Kaiser appears, punching the monster in the face with some of his water magic!

The golem is destabilized; it takes a few steps back and ends up falling due to the impact of the punch!

The noise makes a loud bang, as if rocks were being knocked off a cliff!

He managed to knock him down!

Kaiser quickly goes to the girl and takes her in his arms. Immediately, he runs to the cave to get out of that place.

"LET'S GET OUT OF HERE, REI" He says screaming.

Wasting no time, I run towards the cave to finally get out of this place.

Looking back, I see the golem slowly getting up. While the mini-golems stand around the larger golem, as if they are helping it up.

(POV Kaiser)

Entering the cave, Reinier follows behind me.

Darkness slowly takes over, but we can already see the light at the end of the tunnel as we run.

Going through the cave, we can finally let go of monsters.

"Are you well!?" Reinier asks.

"I must have cracked some ribs and cracked my head open. How about you?" I answer as I put the girl down.

"I think I broke my shoulder, and maybe I broke a few ribs too. The way you're talking, it sounds like you're not in pain." He says placing his hands on the rib.

"Must be the stress."

Underneath the green cape the girl wears, she wears a dark gray T-shirt that is soaked in blood.

The girl has her eyes half open; she must still be conscious!

"Hey, it's going to be okay, you hear!?" I say in a loud tone, but the girl closes her eyes again.

She must be semiconscious.

Her t-shirt has a tear hole in the abdomen area, and that's where the most blood is coming out.

The golem couldn't have made a hole that small. Unless... She was hit by an arrow or pierced by a sword.

I open my bag and take out the bandages.

"Rei, lift her blouse a little; I need to stop the wound."

"Okay, okay." Reinier reaches down and lifts the girl's shirt to her abdomen using only his left hand.

Her belly is completely stained with blood, blending into the subtle white skin of her body.

The wound appears to have been inflicted by an arrow; the wound is on the right side of her abdomen, and it keeps bleeding. I can't tell if it's deep or not, but I need to make sure the bleeding stops.

I tear off a good chunk of bandage and press it against the wound. When I press on, I feel pain shooting through my chest. I need to heal my ribs. I'll need to wrap the bandages around her belly to secure it.

"Rei, press this here." I ask.

He presses the bandage to the wound as I move closer to her head, where it is also bleeding.

As I approach, I lift her head and wrap bandages around her forehead. As I do this, blood drips from my head onto the girl's face.
