CHAPTER START---

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, Oberon floats closer to the wall while staying in step with Jura.

"We're walking into a killbox," Jura says.

"Definitely."

"Plan of attack?"

"Rabol is strong, I should handle him."

"Then I'll deal with everyone else."

Oberon glances over at him. "This guild has nearly two hundred members, about fifty were outside. Rabol and I won't have the kind of fight his people can join, so they'll all be on you."

Jura flashes a confident smile. "Facing a master of Earth Magic within a cavern he made…how foolish of them."

"Just don't take too long, I'd hate to have to wait for you to finish up after I've already beaten him." Oberon places a finger on the wall, gently keeping it on the surface as they continue.

"My fight will be finished before yours. Rabol is powerful, don't underestimate him."

"His strongest form has Lightning and Fire Magics, I'm familiar, but not at this scale. I'll play it safe to start, but if you finish first, don't be shy about helping me."

As they're walking, Oberon's finger glows golden, then his Light Magic runs along the wall in a thin line, reaching the end of the tunnel and continuing around the corner. Jura raises a brow at the sight, not quite understanding, but moments later, the entire tunnel and cavern are illuminated as if they were under the midday sun.

They step out of the tunnel, and he barely has time to appreciate the intricate, straight, and angular lines stretching across the walls and ceiling all around them, casting daylight underground.

But he senses Magic Energy moving toward them before fully taking in the sight.

Oberon raises a hand, erecting a Light Barrier in front of them to block the volley of various Magics, forced to redouble his focus as, for the first time in a very long time, his Light Barrier cracks.

He reinforces it many times over, but their vision is blocked by all the attacks, smoke, and debris.

"Get back!" Jura yells, sensing the threat, but it was already too late.

A massive red hand smashes through the Light Barrier and grabs Oberon's face, slamming him into the wall before throwing him off to the side. It slinks back into the dust cloud, but Jura launches an Iron Rock Boulder at it, his strike confirmed by the sound of rock shattering and an annoyed grunt.

At the other side of the dust cloud, Oberon rises to his feet, unharmed by the simple attack, but surprised that not only was his Light Barrier broken, but someone so easily moved him.

He glances at the now underground fortress, noticing the attacks have stopped as a tense silence fills the cavern. And as the dust cloud falls away, he understands why.

Standing at 12ft -4m- tall, a hulking blood red humanoid with the head of a bull, flaming bat wings, a Fire Construct whip in his right hand, and a Lightning Construct sword in his left, Rabol, leader of the Sky Wolf Wizard Guild, stares directly at him.

"Already in your strongest form, huh?" Oberon smiles, looking up at the transformed man. But for the first time since they've met, Jura notices that Oberon is truly on guard.

Rabol exhales a cloud of fire and lightning as he grunts. "Most would already be dead after that attack. But you are not most, King of the Fairies."

Rabol turns his head to the fortress, leaving his back to Jura as he speaks. "Capture Jura Neekis alive, I want him to return my fortress to the summit, where it belongs. Kill anyone else, but do not interfere with my battle."

He points the lightning sword construct at Oberon. "There is no one here who could make a difference either way."

A stream of blue lightning is launched from the construct, and Jura immediately raises an Iron Rock Wall to block it. The lightning melts through it as if it weren't even there, surprising both Jura and Oberon.

Oberon leaps backward, raising a Light Barrier. But the stream of lightning forces him to continuously reinforce it, while an onslaught of ranged attacks descends upon Jura, forcing him into a different battle against over one hundred Dark Wizards.

'Most of you should survive this,' Jura thinks as he backs up against the cavern wall with an Iron Rock Wall raised in front of him. He places his hand on the wall behind him and flows Magic Energy through it.

High above him, golden brown Earth Magic circles appear, rapidly firing cubes of Iron Rock at the fortress, aimed at anyone he sensed in that direction.

Oberon doesn't bother worrying about Jura, too focused on his own battle as he's being pushed back, his boots scraping against the rock floor as he struggles to think of a way out of this.

Before he can come to a conclusion, Rabol charges forward, shattering the Light Barrier with a direct strike from his Lightning Construct sword before launching a kick at Oberon.

In his monstrous form, his foot is larger than Oberon's torso, but taking this chance, the boy flips gravity. He sends Rabol floating for a moment, then capitalizes on his surprise by flying up and punching the man in the face.

Rabol barely reacts to the strike, merely swinging his arm to slam into Oberon, but the boy maneuvers around him and grabs one of his horns. He manipulates gravity to lock Rabol in his orbit, spinning him and throwing him at the ceiling, but the man uses his wings to quickly orient himself.

He whips at Oberon with the Fire Construct, and Oberon barely avoids it. The wall where it lands is instantly melted, and the whip moves as if alive, turning to chase Oberon.

'He can't sense me, so it must need line-of-sight,' Oberon instantly understands the limitations such Spells have against him, and his body glows bright golden.

He exudes blinding light for a moment, causing Rabol to look away, and the whip to miss. And taking this opening, he flies upward and kicks Rabol in the face, giving the man a nosebleed as he flaps his wings to stabilize himself even higher.

Rabol wipes the blood with his forearm, looking at the droplets as they evaporate away against his skin, then narrows his eyes at Oberon. "Yeah, you need to die here. You'll be too much of a threat later."

Oberon frowns and takes a proper combat stance in the air, and Rabol responds in kind.

He swings the Fire Construct once more, but to his surprise, Oberon grabs it and twists his body, using it to swing the man through the air. In this instant, Rabol feels his Magic Energy clash against Cosmic as Oberon's Barrier is maintaining contact with his Spell.

'That much Magic Energy?' Rabol wonders before flipping in mid-air and firing a Lightning Ball at Oberon.

The boy releases the whip, slamming Rabol into the cavern wall before rushing forward. He avoids the Lightning Ball, but the man digs his feet into the wall, anchoring himself to gain leverage as their fists clash.

Oberon feels his wrist buckle and strain, but they're both knocked back from the clash, returning to the air where they continue the fight.

After a few more clashes, both combatants realize that they need something else. Oberon's skin on his right hand is burned, and healing rapidly.

And Rabol notices that he's healing at a visible rate, piquing his curiosity. 'So much Magic Energy, and Healing Magic. I should try overwhelming him all at once…'

Oberon rushes in once more, meeting Rabol Lightning Construct with his reinforced Cosmic Barrier, grabbing the sword and pushing it aside before punching the man in the face. Rabol flaps his wings away and swings the fire whip, but Oberon maneuvers under it and grabs his foot.

Oberon then creates a vertical orbit around himself, spinning Rabol once before multiplying his gravity many times over at the perfect moment to throw him into the ground.

Rabol feels his powerful body becoming heavier by the second as Oberon searches for how intense he can make gravity without killing the man for the sake of the precious information in his mind.

Feeling this, Rabol flows more Magic Energy into his Lightning Construct. "Endless Dancing Arcs!"

Blue arcs of lightning erupt from his blade construct and spread out in every direction, maintaining themselves while expanding to fill the space with a stream of solid, live lightning arcs.

Oberon immediately retreats upward, but the arcs spread out in every direction, even as he's approaching the ceiling.

Frantically looking around, he sees some of the Sky Wolf members caught in the attack before their allies pull their clearly alive and twitching bodies out of it and retreat. 'This thing is all about range, not power. He's trying to make distance to form a plan against me!'

Oberon retreats to the ceiling, standing upside down as if he were on the floor as the lightning arcs quickly approach, now more focused on following him than simply occupying space.

But looking past it all, he notices Rabol hasn't moved. 'Even his hand with the sword hasn't moved. This Spell must be very delicate, so he can't. Bad move…'

Oberon creates a golden Magic Circle with the Fairy Tail Emblem above his head, facing down at Rabol. Focusing on the shape of this Spell, he releases a two-meter-wide pillar of Magic Energy, glowing golden and struggling to push through the weak lightning arcs.

Rabol looks up, confused about what's happening. The light from the pillar is blinding, but he can feel its Magic Energy against his arcs. 'It's strong enough to reach me, but won't even make me flinch. What is he planning? I should reinforce the arcs around me, just in case.'

He does exactly that, preparing for Oberon to attack from the side, all while he's lying on the ground.

'The moment he approaches, I'll have all the arcs rush him, then I—' His thoughts are cut off as with the Light Magic Spell just a few meters from his face, the base of it shatters, revealing that it was actually a cup or tunnel, not a pillar.

Oberon used it to reach Rabol. Not because he needed protection from the weaker arcs, but because wherever they made contact with anything, Rabol would likely sense it. This way, he managed not only to get close to Rabol.

But to dropkick him from the ceiling, directly in the face. Oberon's absurd gravity manipulation has the entire mountaintop trembling and the cavern threatening to fall apart as both of Rabol's horns shatter from the impact…
