Awooo!
Fenrir roared in fury upon realizing that its father and creator had been turned to ashes. Without hesitation, it turned and charged at Kousuke, murderous intent oozing from every step. The killing aura was so overwhelming, it could crush most beings.
But unfortunately for the God Devourer, it had finally met its match.
"Who let this mutt off its leash?" Kousuke said, dodging the massive claws and fangs like it was nothing. His movements were so relaxed, he didn't even break a sweat. He smirked. "Oh, right, your daddy's just ashes now. Big sad."
He snapped his fingers, and golden chains erupted from the ground, coiling tightly around the giant wolf. Fenrir thrashed violently, biting and clawing at the bindings—but to no avail. There wasn't even a scratch.
"It's useless. You won't break those chains with those dull claws and fangs," Kousuke said, casually tracing a finger along the glowing links. "I copied that technique from a dumb bear Youkai. These chains are indestructible, literally."
He nodded in satisfaction, clearly admiring his own handiwork.
"I should thank your idiot owner. Now I've got a cute little pet like you," he added, patting the enraged Fenrir on the back like a dog that just got neutered. He was really treating the infamous God Devourer like a new pet. And this wasn't his first time taming mythical beasts, his power made it all possible.
But first things first, he needed to instill obedience.
With that in mind, Kousuke pulled a kitchen knife from his inventory and stared at Fenrir's hind legs like a butcher eyeing his next cut.
"What is he doing now?" Sirzechs muttered from above. Even the Crimson Satan was stunned. Immobilizing Fenrir with ease was already shocking, but those golden chains—he realized it couldn't be broken even with the Power of Destruction. There was a high level concept imbued into it that surpassed his clan signature spell.
AWOOOO!
"He's... cutting off their legs?" Azazel said, wide-eyed. Kousuke's intentions were becoming clear. He planned to torture Fenrir into submission. But the God Devourer wasn't so easily broken.
"Free material, baby!" Kousuke chirped cheerfully. He wiped blood from his cheek and stored the severed legs into his inventory like they were snacks. He turned to look at Fenrir's face and saw the beast glaring back at him. "Aww, look at you, so angy~"
"You must be thinking I can't hurt you anymore now that you've got no legs, huh?" he said, smiling wider. Then he pulled out a potion and sprinkled it on the stumps. Miraculously, the wounds healed instantly, and new hind legs grew back.
"Unfortunately for you, I've got plenty of these. So stay strong, okay~?"
That genuine smile sent chills down the spines of the three leaders, and even Fenrir. Kousuke wasn't bluffing, he truly planned to torture it until it submitted to him. For the next few minutes, he repeated the process: severing Fenrir's legs, healing them, then doing it again.
And again. Until Fenrir no longer emitted bloodlust, yet Kousuke didn't stop. He continued a few more cycles until, at last, a broken whimper escaped from the once-mighty wolf.
"Hold up, I still need a couple more pieces~" Kousuke said, healing it once more for the fiftieth time. Fenrir didn't even protest, it simply collapsed to the ground, defeated and broken.
"I think that's enough," Michael coughed. He couldn't ignore the way Fenrir kept glancing at him, eyes full of grief and desperation.
"It's fine. He can endure a little pain, right?"
"Awoo..."
There was no way Fenrir could say no, not under that inhuman gaze that clearly wouldn't accept it.
"See? Such a good boy," Kousuke said, with the same enthusiasm one might use to talk about good weather. Once he was satisfied, Kousuke shortened the golden chains until they formed around Fenrir's neck and became a glowing choker.
"From now on, your name is Doggy. Got it?"
"Awoo."
Honestly, even if it were named 'Shitstain,' Fenrir would've agreed. There wasn't a shred of rebellion left in it.
"Doggy... What a unique name," Michael muttered with uncertainty after a little hesitation.
"You don't have to force yourself to praise him, you know? It's a shit name," Azazel sighed. Sirzechs nodded in agreement.
"You guys don't get it," Kousuke said smugly, shamelessly looting the corpses on the ground. "Imagine this, I call out 'Doggy!' and my opponents laugh at the name. They let their guard down. Then Doggy rips their faces off. Classic horror twist."
"You're sadistic."
"Thanks for the compliment—oh, this guy's broke as hell. Next."
The three leaders pretended not to see him kick a corpse in frustration when he found nothing worth taking. Meanwhile, Tsubaki, who had been told to stay hidden in the building, finally emerged.
"Since you killed them all, how are we going to get Rias and the others back?" she asked as she approached him.
"That's right. I planned to question Loki before you offed him," Sirzechs added with a sigh.
"Well, maybe if you weren't having so much trouble with Doggy, I wouldn't have had to step in," Kousuke said with a shrug. "But it's fine. I already know where they are."
That teleportation magic... It was her. He could tell. Thinking back, she had disappeared so abruptly in the Other World. Maybe that's when she crossed over to Earth. He needed to know how—because if she could do it, who's to say others couldn't?
"Where?" Tsubaki asked.
"Somewhere northwest in Europe."
It made sense. That region was historically tied to 'Morgan.' Not the Morgan from Otherworld, but the one from this Earth. If the witch that took Vali was really her, he wouldn't be surprised if she'd killed the original and taken her place.
He doubted the kidnapping was part of the Hero Faction's plan. No, Morgan likely did it to bait him. She wanted him to come to her, and this was her way of making that possible. That meant Rias and the others were likely safe… for now.
With his eyes closed, Kousuke focused. Through the enchanted necklace Akeno wore, he could sense her emotions. Confusion… and curiosity.
"I'll go ahead. You guys can follow if you want, but someone gotta watch over Tsubaki for me," he said before casually pulling out a black rupture blade and easily slice a hole in front of him with one horizontal slash. Then he walks into it as his figure vanished. Not even the dimensional lock could slow him down.
