Ken and Dan left the ruins to discuss their plans to build the Wei Empire. They also took the treasure there so they could exchange it for money. It surprises Ken and Dan how they can carry a lot of catch without feeling its weight.
Dan: "Man, either we got stronger or treasure here is light as a feather."
Ken: "Maybe for small treasures like this, but I'm sure the bigger ones are heavier than this."
As they walk, they look up in the sky and see the Phoenix also out of the ruins, flying around the island to see how much has changed. They both stop by the waterfall, put everything down, and sit down.
Dan: "I need some rest after that; who knew coming out would be such a hassle? So, what should we do first in founding the Wei Empire?"
Ken: "Well, the first thing to do is find people who want to live here and build houses on this island."
Ken looks up at the tree and sees lots of fruit.
Ken: "We should not have any problems with food for a while, so once we are done building the houses, we can focus on agriculture."
Dan: "That's a good plan, so we must find some civilization and convince them to come to our island."
Just then, the Phoenix returns and puts his claws on the ground.
Phoenix: "The island seems to have more nature now than 800 years ago; it's quite peaceful here. So what is it you are going to do first, master?"
Ken: "Well, we need to find civilization to bring back here to start building houses. Since I will be a ruler here, can you call me my Lord?"
Phoenix: "Of course, my Lord, and since you need people to start your empire, might I suggest you go to Amazon Lily to get some help?"
This shocked Ken and Dan in disbelief; the Phoenix wants them to go to Amazon Lily, the island where only the women-born tribe called Kuja lives and has not seen men at all, to go and get help.
Dan: "Are you insane? There is no way we can go there, especially when it has Boa Hancock there and will turn us to stone the minute she sees us!"
Boa Hancock, the Pirate Empress, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, is a mighty pirate captain who can use all forms of Haki at her disposal and is the captain of the Kuja Pirates. Her past was not good; her sisters were slaves to the World Noble. They escaped after Fisher Tiger freed every enslaved person and burned Mariejois to the ground. They hide the branding by wearing capes behind their back. Hancock became the Empress of Amazon Lily and became arrogant with her beauty.
Ken thought about what the Phoenix said and started to believe that there was no way Hancock would help them since her hatred for men is intense, and Luffy is the only man she ever loved. He then looks at the Phoenix.
Ken: "Why suggest there? Did you go to Amazon Lily before?"
The Phoenix looked in the east direction.
Phoenix: "Well, a long time ago, a Kuja came to our island to study the plants on this island and was granted an audience with the King. He told her about the island's history and showed her new things. On the day she was about to leave, he passed down a necklace to her; he told her about the oracle and asked that her descendent could help her in her time of need. She agreed to it and swore that her family would help you."
They both listen to what the Phoenix said and look at each other.
Dan: "Huh, I wonder whose family would that be to help us?"
Ken: "Well, this is only a guess, but I think Gloriosa is the one."
Dan: Huh... Elder Nyon, the old hag!?"
Ken nods. Gloriosa, also known as Elder Nyon, is the former Empress of Amazon Lily. She knows more about the world since she left the island; she also finds the Boa sisters and learns about their past.
Ken: "I know it's a long shot, but she's the only one I could think of."
Dan: "True; since she went outside Amazon Lily, she is knowledgeable about many things."
Phoenix: "This person sounds like the one who is the descendant of the one who came. She might help you with your Empire."
Ken: "Alright then, let's go to Amazon Lily."
The boys got up and started walking to the ship while the Phoenix flew to the beach and sat beside the boat. They got there and started to board. Ken went to the wheel while Dan opened the sails.
Ken: "The only problem now is to make this ship move since there is no wind in the Calm Belt."
Phoenix: "Ah, I forgot something; please take these with you."
The Phoenix started to flap its right wing, and four feathers got plucked off it. The Feather went straight to Ken, and he grabbed them. One of the feathers began to glow and become green, while the rest stayed the same.
Ken: "So what is this?"
Phoenix: "The green one you got is called a wind feather. When you sail, you can use this to summon wind at any time and place."
Ken: "And your regular feathers?"
Phoenix: "These are called healing feathers; they heal any injuries or burns you got from now or in the past. They are the perfect healing tool."
Ken: "Thank you, these will come in handy."
Phoenix: "Now, for where the island is, just go straight, and you will see it. I shall wait by the lake when you return from Amazon, Lily; take care, Lord Ken."
The Phoenix took off and went to the lake as Ken looked at its fleeing form.
Dan: "I'm ready to set the sails loose, Ken; just give me the signal."
Ken looks at him and gives him the thumbs up; Dan then releases the sails. Ken then puts the healing feathers in his pocket and holds the wind Feather up.
It starts to glow bright green as a sudden wind comes. The wind began to hit the sails as the wheels on the side of the ship began to move; this motion propelled the ship forward, and it started going straight ahead.
Dan looks in, amazed at seeing a real ship move for the first time, while Ken goes straight to the ship's steering wheel and holds it with his right hand.
Ken: "Our destination is straight ahead. Say land ho when you find it."
Dan: "You got it, cousin; no island will escape my sight."
Dan looks straight to see if Amazon Lily comes into sight while Ken holds onto the steering wheel; while they are sailing, Ken's mind is elsewhere.
Ken's thoughts: ("This is my first time sailing; it feels great; now I'm going to be an Emperor; I will need to be ready for this world since it is pretty dangerous. Dan and I will have to stay hidden from the other residents of Amazon Lily, especially Hancock; her hatred for men is legendary before Luffy comes in.")
Ken wasn't the only one thinking; Dan was also thinking.
Dan's thoughts: ("I never thought I would be out in see, and in One Piece of all places. We will have many adventures and meet all kinds of people, even giants; still, our first stop is Amazon Lily, the island of the Kuja. I do hope we won't get thrown to the arena.")
Dan keeps looking straight and notices something; when he looks closer, he smirks.
Dan: "Lan ho baby, I see land."
Ken looks ahead and sees what Dan sees: an island with a jungle on the bottom and a gigantic mountain in the center. It is carved with giant curved snake statues and the name of the native tribe of the island, Kuja, engraved in Kanji.
Ken: "We are here, Amazon Lily, the island of the Kuja."
Dan: I see a place to dock the ship without informing the Kuja; we should dock there."
Ken nods and sails to the place. As they sail, Ken can't help but feel nervous as they land on Amazon Lily, so they need to be prepared for what happens there.
Ken sighs and continues to sail, ready for whatever comes at them.
