Nyxarae was born in the family of a vampire but her mother was a human. So she was actually a half vampire who were generally hated by both the humans and the vampires.
So she grew up completely alone without getting any attention from both her father and mother. As a pure blooded Vampire, her Father was not very fond of her.
As for her mother, even though she did not hate her directly, she was always busy truing to seduce her father and get some of his attention, so obviously she also had no time to look after her daughter.
So one might think that Nyxarae's childhood had been very terrible because of this but that was actually not the case. The lady herself was happy that no was disturbing her and she was able to do her own thing in peace.
