Seeing that her sister was unhappy with what she'd said, Anne Sutton sighed helplessly. "You're just too naive."
Sharon Sutton looked at Anne Sutton. Seeing how guarded she was and unwilling to help, Sharon turned and walked out the door.
David Hayes was standing by the door. When he saw her come out, he asked, "How did it go?"
"I'm tired. I want to go rest for a bit." After saying this, Sharon Sutton turned to her mother. "Mom, I'm going to head upstairs to rest. I'm a bit carsick from today."
Mrs. Sutton said, "Go on, then. Come down for dinner in a little while."
"It's all right, you don't have to call me for dinner."
She went upstairs, and David Hayes followed her.
He looked at her and asked, "Did you tell your sister?"
Sharon Sutton said, "I told her. She didn't agree."
David Hayes was somewhat disappointed. "You're her only sister. You ask her for such a small thing, and she still won't agree?"
