Anne Sutton looked at him. "What are you talking about? You're Ethan Linden! The Head of the Linden Family. If you're a nobody, then what does that make the rest of us?"
Nathan Fawcett glanced at Anne Sutton in her pajamas. "Are you staying up this late just to come laugh at me?" he asked. "Don't you have to wait for Justin Shields to pick you up tomorrow morning?"
"I don't think I ever agreed to that," Anne Sutton said.
She hadn't even had a chance to reply before Justin Shields left.
Later, Anne Sutton sent him a message telling him not to come in the morning.
Hearing this, Nathan Fawcett asked, "So, you told him not to pick you up?"
"I have my own car, so I can just drive," Anne Sutton said. "Besides, I need to leave early tomorrow. Waiting for him might make me late."
Hearing this, the tension in Nathan Fawcett's body finally eased.
He stood up and said to Anne Sutton, "Come on, let's go to bed. I'm tired."
