Stella Shields looked at Anna Linden and said, "Aunt Anna, do you want Anne Sutton to live here too? Why? You obviously don't like her."
Anna Linden frowned. If it weren't for the fact that Nathan Fawcett couldn't have physical contact with others, she wouldn't have to endure such an indignity. She had already sent people to find a cure for Nathan's illness, but until they got a positive result, Anne Sutton was the only one who could be with him.
Anna Linden said to Stella Shields, "You're a very good girl. Later, I'll help you find a suitable husband, I guarantee he'll be better than Nathan Fawcett—the kind of man who will dote on you. It would be a great injustice to you to be with him!"
Besides, Nathan Fawcett had no desire to marry Stella Shields. Matters of the heart shouldn't be forced.
