Nathan Fawcett glanced at Anne Sutton, nodded, and walked out.
Seeing him leave her here alone with Chloe Chase, Anne Sutton frowned.
Chloe Chase saw her staring in the direction Nathan had gone and said to Anne, "Don't worry, Ms. Sutton. Your foot is fine. I'll take good care of it for you."
Anne Sutton looked at Chloe Chase, realizing she had come over on purpose.
'She probably just doesn't want to see me with Nathan, so she's constantly hovering, making sure I never get a chance to be alone with him.'

Anne Sutton sat on the bed while Chloe Chase kept her company, trying to make small talk about anything and everything.
Anne really had nothing to talk to her about.
'She knew Chloe was only here for one reason: to keep her and Nathan apart.'
Even though Chloe's attitude wasn't bad on the surface, Anne didn't believe for a second that she had any good intentions.
So, with Chloe here, she was so on edge she couldn't even rest properly.
