Anne Sutton said, "Whether I believe you or not isn't important. I just don't quite understand why you had to lie to me. Was it necessary to hide things about you and Ms. Shields from me?"
'He can't possibly think I have feelings for him, can he?'

Nathan Fawcett glanced at Ian, who was sitting to the side. The boy was staring at them with wide eyes.
He didn't want his son to witness a scene of adults arguing like this.
Nathan Fawcett said, "I'm not discussing this with you right now. Just eat."
Anne Sutton glanced at him and, considering Ian was there, kept her mouth shut.
After dinner, Anne Sutton went back to her room.
She was exhausted from spending the day at the hospital.
She walked in, sat down on the sofa, and gazed at the bracelet on her wrist. She wasn't happy about this marriage at all.
She didn't have any strong desire to be with Justin Shields.
