Anna Linden continued, "I'm human, not a god. Aren't I? You're a doctor too, so you should know what I'm talking about."
Anne Sutton had come to see Anna Linden just to give it a try. Hearing her say this, she realized there was truly no hope for Nathan Fawcett.
Anne looked at Anna Linden and, settling for the next best thing, said, "Nathan Fawcett... he has a bad temper, but... he's exceptionally fond of you, his mother. Could you... be a little nicer to him? Just think of it as keeping him company in his final days. Can you do that?"
Anne just felt that it would be so unfair to Nathan if he passed away just like this.
