He stiffened upon seeing her. After a quick word with the people beside him, he walked over.

Anne Sutton, seated on the sofa, picked up the glass in front of her. She took a sip of wine and said, "My dear nephew is getting engaged today. Naturally, I came to congratulate you!"
He had deceived her father and forced her to abort their child, all while promising he would marry her. Yet here he was, getting engaged to another woman.
