Miles Prescott was startled by Anne Sutton's words. "How can you say something like that?"
The doctors were present when he spoke, especially the hospital director, who had arrived with Miles Prescott. Hearing Anne Sutton, he immediately cut her off. "Sutton, is that any way to speak to Mr. Prescott? He called me personally to ensure your parents were well taken care of, saying you are all dear friends of his. How can you think so ill of him? This was just an accident. The at-fault party has already paid the medical fees!"
Anne Sutton said, "You certainly have your methods, Mr. Prescott."
Miles Prescott said, "Anne, I know you're frightened. I don't mind. I was shocked when this happened, too. Thankfully, your parents aren't seriously injured."
