Chapter 24 - An Untimely distress signal

[Alfheim (near the boundary)]

As Blake exited the hut, a whirlwind of emotions swept through him. Amidst his initial excitement about being in Alfheim, a tinge of annoyance lingered, courtesy of the massive meteoroid hit.

"Ugh, my aching back still hasn't forgiven me for that landing," Blake grumbled to himself, recalling the uncomfortable impact. "Huuu...," he sighed deeply, feeling the lingering soreness as if it were his cosmic badge of honor.

"Now that my powers are back to their regular old self, I can finally venture out of this plain, ordinary hut and explore the supposed wonderland of the elves," Blake chuckled to himself, his tone layered with playful sarcasm.

"Oh, the beauty... the magnificent elves," he mused with exaggerated admiration, his voice dripping with irony.

{hehehehe... beautiful world.... of elves....} Blake thought droolingly.

Stepping into the open, Blake crinkled his nose at an unusual scent drifting in the air.

"Ah, this aroma, sniff... sniff..." he muttered, feigning intoxication. "I'm practically swooning with delight," he quipped, already sensing the peculiarities of this supposedly magical and fragrant world.

.

.

Blake, unhindered by hesitation, took to the air effortlessly, concealing himself in the ethereal skies. As he ascended, the breathtaking panorama of the elven realm unfolded beneath him, a sight to behold.

While contemplating his journey towards Ljosalfgard, the capital city of the elves, Blake's excitement bubbled up. He was eager to explore the unique culture and eccentric artifacts that were exclusive to this realm. "Peculiar belongings, huh? Sounds like my kind of treasure hunt," he quipped with a smirk, already plotting his future exploration.

Suddenly, amidst his musings, Blake was rudely interrupted by an unexpected distress signal.

It wasn't just any distress signal but one from Ichibē Hyōsube, the royal guard commander who had been holding the fort in the Soul Society during his absence.

"Great, just when I thought I could enjoy an elfin vacation," Blake muttered sarcastically, irritated at the interruption of his plans. With Ichibē, someone who could give him a run for his money, sending out a distress signal, Blake realized the urgency of the situation.

He wasted no time, thrusting himself upward with the speed of a shooting star, eager to return to Earth or the celestial realm as swiftly as possible.

However, as he rocketed out of the atmosphere, he stole a glance back at the alluring elven world below.

"Dammit... guess my holiday to Elf Land will have to wait," Blake sighed dramatically, faux-tears streaming down his face as he bid a temporary farewell to the enchanting realm.

.

.

Leaving the enchanting world of elves behind, Blake surged through the vast expanse of space, propelled by an urgent need to return home at the swiftest pace possible.

Regret gnawed at him as he realized he had inadvertently overlooked his responsibilities towards innocent lives threatened by the emergent hollows.

Concern gripped him, especially concerning the mission entrusted to Byakuya Kuchiki and Division 6, along with the Kidō Corps. The fear of a catastrophic event occurring in his absence plagued his thoughts.

Throughout his otherworldly journey, Blake had gained invaluable insights. Encounters with divine and other supernatural beings had broadened his perspective. He grasped the intricate balance that sustained the realms and the fragile harmony of their coexistence.

A sudden recollection jolted him. "The reward from Asgard..." he muttered to himself, irritated by the vague description provided by the system—'survive the upcoming crisis.'

"Seriously, System? 'Survive the upcoming crisis'? That's the best description you could come up with?" Blake rolled his eyes, mildly exasperated at the cryptic nature of the instructions.

Curiosity piqued, Blake accessed his rewards, his excitement growing as he perused the unexpected offerings.

Checking upon his reward, Blake was astonished and excited at the same time as the rewards were clearly something unexpected.

[Ding! the host solved the crisis is very well and will be graded A+]

[Ding! For successfully completing his mission, The host is hence rewarded with a 1 summoning opportunity and 1 large development coupon.]

The summoning opportunity had sparked an electric thrill through Blake. He was on the lookout for more manpower, a dire need in his current state to tackle the incessant hollow menace that plagued the realms.

The prospect of adding more allies to his arsenal was a welcome relief, a chance to bolster his forces against the looming threats.

As if the summoning excitement weren't enough, the revelation of the large development coupon caught him off guard. A tool of immense potential, capable of breathing life back into a desolate area—just like the one he had witnessed in the Seireitei.

The idea that he could now effortlessly rebuild and revitalize structures, shaping them anew, sparked a cascade of possibilities in his mind.

It held immense value, capable of restoring an entire area of buildings to their former glory with remarkable ease.

The sheer magnitude of this opportunity overwhelmed him, for it meant that the laborious task of rebuilding and revitalizing structures could be achieved effortlessly, as if the very foundations of the buildings emerged from the very earth itself.

He could now finally rebuild some residential area for the souls of the people coming in. The thought of being able to rebuild residential zones for incoming souls invigorated him.

.

The thought of progress back in the celestial realm played on his mind.

What developments had occurred in his absence?

.

What awaited him upon his return?

.

The anticipation tugged at his curiosity, leaving him in a state of contemplation.

Amidst these contemplations, a smirk formed on his lips. The journey he'd experienced so far had been nothing short of a whirlwind adventure.

From encounters with Odin to unexpected losses and the peculiar case of losing his virginity, even being reduced to a lump by a plummeting meteoroid—it was an odyssey of unexpected twists.

Yet, these wild events were just part and parcel of his newfound existence and amid this chaos, the magical power of reiryoku had emerged as a force to be reckoned with that is surprisingly magical.

The journey, he mused, was a rollercoaster of surprises and challenges, each twist revealing a new facet of this intricate and mystical universe.

As he envisioned the bustling activity awaiting him back home .....
