Luo An took the folder with a slight frown and asked:
"What does 'being cleared out' mean?"
Vireness chuckled and countered:
"Have you ever seen an agent from the Special Investigation Team, or their office area, in this building?"
Luo An was momentarily stunned. Prior to this, he hadn't paid close attention to this matter. It was only after Vireness mentioned it that he realized, although he knew about the existence of the Special Investigation Team, the agents from Team 13 hardly ever saw them on a regular basis.
Seeing Luo An's confusion, Vireness explained with a smile:
"The Special Investigation Team, as the name indicates, is formed for the purpose of dealing specifically with certain cases.
Most Special Investigation Teams need to collaborate with many other law enforcement agencies during their investigations, such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), etc."
