They were still innovating weapons using bones, other people not only innovated iron, but steel too. People had more or less become skills with the elements and showing off techniques they had never seen before.
The average level was absolutely much higher, too, and it seemed like the kids weren't too far away from the village powerhouses in terms of level.

He had been to both territories, and they really were much better than the villages they had been to, at least before landing in Alterra. If they hadn't been to Alterra first, those territories would've greatly impressed them, too.
Basically, the Lord's people, especially those who had lasted the past year, could be said to all be very special.
"Alterran's progress is just… abnormal," he said. "As a local who had been through dozens of territories in his lifetime, you were doing very well."
