Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: It Tastes Terrible, Even Worse Than Insect Eggs!

"Hmph, does healing actually take as long as a minute?" Vegeta couldn't help but mock, glancing sideways at Cocotte with a contemptuous curl of his lip, his tail flicking behind him.

"Little boy, what do you know? Do you think the Healing Technique is that simple?" Cocotte wasn't angry; instead, she looked at Vegeta with a beaming smile, hands on her hips and her head tilted, her red hair swaying gently on her shoulders.

"I am not a little boy!" Vegeta ground his teeth in rage and shouted, his small face flushing red and his fists clenching until they cracked.

"Alright, you're not, you're not." Cocotte smiled slightly, her eyes filled with a teasing intent as she waved her hand as if coaxing a child.

Vegeta's face darkened further, his lips trembling, yet he didn't know what to say.

"Rez, I'm hungry," Broly said to Rez, rubbing his stomach, his brows furrowed into a bunch and his mouth slightly pouting, his face written with grievance.

"After all that, only three minutes have passed!" Rez looked at Broly and shook his head helplessly, then called out to Cocotte, "Don't just stand there waiting. Do you have any drinks or anything? Bring some out to satisfy our hunger."

Upon hearing this, Cocotte's cheeks suddenly flushed crimson. She lowered her eyes shyly, her eyelashes trembling slightly as she looked at Rez with deep meaning. Her gaze lingered on Rez's face for two seconds before quickly darting away.

Rez was stunned for a moment.

I'm just asking you to get a drink to satisfy Broly's hunger, why are you blushing?

"Is a drink really okay?" Cocotte asked, her voice a few shades softer than before, her fingers unconsciously twisting together.

"What do you mean?" Rez didn't understand, his brows furrowing slightly.

"No... it's nothing, you don't need to mind the details." Cocotte realized Rez didn't mean anything else and that she had misunderstood. She hurriedly waved her hands with a red face, her eyes darting around in panic.

Dyspo: "..."

Caselar: "..."

The two of them facepalmed, utterly speechless. Their palms slapped against their foreheads with a crisp sound, and then they glared at Cocotte crossly, their eyes full of helplessness and disdain.

"Can you stop letting your imagination run wild?" Dyspo scolded, his purple face full of frustration at her behavior.

"I wasn't thinking about anything," Cocotte quickly shook her head in denial, her red hair swaying. However, the blush on her cheeks deepened, spreading from her face all the way to the tips of her ears.

"It better be!" Dyspo barked angrily, crossing his arms with his jaw held tight.

"Uh..." Rez scratched his head awkwardly, finally understanding what Cocotte meant. He rubbed the back of his head, a trace of embarrassment surfacing on his face.

So it turns out I was careless with my words... and caused a misunderstanding.

"Rez, what does she mean? Why is she blushing?" Linoshi whispered to Rez, her blue eyes filled with a hint of wariness. Her gaze swept over Cocotte's face and then landed on Rez, her lips pursed slightly.

"Well... her face was already red to begin with," Rez replied in a low voice, his gaze drifting elsewhere, not daring to meet Linoshi's eyes.

"She clearly looks very shy," Linoshi huffed, pouting her small mouth. A flash of displeasure crossed her blue eyes, and she looked a bit sullen as she began to rub the hem of her battle suit with more force than usual.

"Well... I'm not really sure either," Rez shook his head helplessly with a bitter smile.

He couldn't exactly say there was a problem with what he just said, could he?

What would Linoshi think of me then?

My wonderful image would probably crumble before her, wouldn't it?

"Let me see..." Linoshi said, and a mirror suddenly materialized in her hand.

The mirror was entirely silver-white, with exquisite patterns carved onto the frame. The mirror's surface was as clear as water, emitting a faint, soft glow.

Rez watched silently and soon understood.

This wasn't just any mirror!

This was clearly a mirror conjured using an Angel's Scepter.

It was possible this mirror corresponded directly to the Scepter's Crystal Orb.

Linoshi looked into the mirror with a serious expression, her blue eyes fixed on the surface as if she truly wanted to know why Cocotte looked so shy.

Rez couldn't really stop her from doing such a thing.

The more you stop her, the more curious she'll definitely become.

"Huh? Why can't I see anything?" Linoshi was a bit puzzled, her brows furrowing slightly as she gave Cocotte another strange look.

The image reflected in the mirror seemed different from what she had expected.

"Little girl, are you a mage too?" Cocotte suddenly became interested, looking at Linoshi with a smile. Her eyes curved into crescents, and her red hair glistened under the sunlight.

"Ah... I... I... I guess so," Linoshi replied hesitantly after a moment's thought. Her blue eyes looked down, and with a flick of her finger, the mirror instantly vanished into thin air. She had admitted it, but her voice was as quiet as a mosquito's buzz.

Vegeta scrutinized Linoshi, his gaze lingering on her for a few seconds. His brows were slightly knit; he felt there was something odd about her, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.

Broly, however, wasn't interested in any of this. He rubbed his stomach again as a growling sound came from his belly, and said to Rez, "Hungry."

"Is there anything to eat? Can't you see we're all hungry? How can you be so inconsiderate?" Rez scolded Dyspo and the others crossly, his hands on his hips as his gaze swept over the three of them.

"You guy, your demands are a bit too high! You have to realize we're enemies!" Dyspo barked at Rez, the veins on his purple face twitching slightly in anger.

"Since we're going to fight in a while, let's be fair and let us eat our fill first," Rez said plausibly, spreading his hands with a matter-of-fact expression.

"Cocotte, get him some Compressed Biscuits!" Having no other choice, Dyspo ordered Cocotte, gritting his teeth as his purple lips pressed into a thin line.

"Alright, Vice-Captain!" Cocotte readily agreed and turned toward the cargo hold, her steps light and her red hair fluttering behind her.

A moment later, she brought two Compressed Biscuits out from the cargo hold and tossed them, the two biscuits drawing two arcs through the air.

Broly caught the Compressed Biscuits with agile movements, one in each hand.

He didn't even tear off the wrappers, stuffing them directly into his mouth until his cheeks were round and bulging.

After taking a bite, Broly immediately frowned, his facial expression twisting into a bunch as he felt somewhat displeased.

"It tastes terrible, even worse than Insect Eggs!" Broly huffed, his brows furrowing tighter. With his cheeks bulging, his chewing slowed down.

"You idiot, you didn't even tear off the wrappers!" Vegeta finally couldn't take it anymore and complained in a low voice, covering half his face with his palm, looking as though he couldn't bear to watch. "Don't embarrass us, alright?"
