Chapter 24 - Ding Ding!

Kai was instantly knocked down, falling flat on the back after taking a mean knee to the chin. Ron tensed up, and he attacked. Zynner made giant hands out of raging winds, and he flicked Ron with it, sending him soaring towards the ropes on the ring, rebounding him back to Zynner. He punched Ron in the face, and he fell down. "Things are looking great for Zynner!" Said Tulin. Kai got back up, and he blasted a shot at Zynner. Zynner used a gust of wind to trap the blast, before making a path of wind, which redirected the blast at Ron at even faster speeds. "Incredible play by Zynner!" An audio of a cheering crowd played. Ron bounced up from the shot's power. "Ron!" Kai shouted, as Ron fell back down and on his face. He quickly got back up, and they both locked their eyes with Zynner's. "This will be fun" said Zynner.

Ron used a finger gun, and Kai charged an energy ball, and they nodded at each other. Both of them shot up at a slight angle, making the shots fuse together. "What odd occurrence is going on here?" Commented Tulin. Kai flew at Zynner and made an energy rope, before tying Zynner up to make sure he took the blast. Ron then began breakdancing, sending multiple curved energy slashes in all directions. This time, however, he calculated it all. "Oh god, this guy's aim sucks!" A laugh track played. The slashes all met at one point after bouncing around the room at the same time. This fused them together, the strongest one guiding the giant slash. It bounced off of the ceiling, and it hit the energy blast that had been suspended mid air, absorbing that as well. It zoomed right at Zynner, yet he used his wind powers to fly, despite being in the ropes. The slash ended up hitting Kai. He tried using his suit's ability to absorb energy to take the hit for him, but his suit had overloaded from the sudden surge of energy, making it disable temporarily. "Man down!" Said Tulin dramatically, before laughing. "Idiot!" Zynner laughed. Kai took action by using his back up power, which wasn't as strong, yet it would suffice until the suit could self-repair. Kai staggered back up, and Ron confidently stood across from Zynner. Zynner smirked at them, as if he had something up his sleeve. Ron tapdanced, which made pieces of the Earth arise. He made sure that he was raising a large enough chunk of the earth that it would raise the entire room off of the surface of Earth. He started tap dancing faster and putting more force into each step, which increased the force that the chunk of earth had risen with. The ground began to crumble, and Kai bought Ron time by fighting Zynner. Zynner was aware of what was happening (how could you not be?), but he didn't mind. He knew it would make the fight more interesting. Besides, he was able to neutralize the extra pressure the isle's speed forced on him with upward force from his wind, allowing him to move normally. Ron was annoyed by this, but since he and Kai trained in high gravity, it didn't bother him, so he kept raising the earth below them. Zynner almost kicked Kai's head, but Ron slid and uppercuted Zynner from below, making him fly into the air. Ron did a pose while shooting mid-air. This made Zynner pound against the ceiling. He was swiftly shot back down to the arena's ground because of the upward force from the isle. Before they knew it, they were 6 miles above the ground. Ron held Kai's leg as the isle snapped into stillness, but Zynner was flung back up, crashing into the ceiling once again. "Close one!" Ron said with his feet buried into the ring's floor, as to not fly upward. While Zynner was falling back down, Kai grabbed his throat. "What will happen if we defeat you?" Asked Ron, standing beside Kai. Zynner smiled, and hoarsely said "Just you see." Zynner swept Kai off of his feet, and used a wind shield to block Ron's anticipated punch. Ron was kicked towards the ropes of the ring, and he bounced back to Zynner. Zynner then made a wind sledgehammer, and hit Ron away like a bat hits a baseball. "Home run!!!" Shouted Tulin with enthusiasm as she played "charge" fanfare. Ron flew at Tulin's window, and cracked it. He then fell down like a pancake. "Ooooooohh, that's gotta hurt! He'll feel that one in the morning!" Shouted Tunlin in an obnoxiously loud tone. Another laugh track played into the microphone. Kai got up, and he did so furiously. Zynner opened his arms with a grin on his face, as if he was challenging him. This was all going according to Zynner's plan. Kai charged up a punch, and the ground began to shake. Zynner gulped. The pure energy from the suit and the punch's energy was weighing down the floating mini-isle that they were battling upon. The power from the punch knocked the breath out of Zynner. He flew towards Tulin's window as well, this time shattering it as he tilted the isle sideways from the pure force he hit the wall behind the diamond window with. The bell didn't ring this time, Tulin had no remarks. Kai smirked. "So, we played your little game, now what?" Kai shouted with confidence. Ron went back to the ring with his brother. "What's wrong, little assistant? No more quips?" Ron said, relieved that she was silent. The whole room was silent. Tulin began to choke up. Tears started in her eyes. "Boss… Zynner, please…" Kai began to feel bad. "You think I… no, no way." Kai said. Ron just stared at the opening for the window, silent. "Oh my God, oh my God…" Tulin murmured, loud enough for it to be heard from the ring. "Boss, please. Come on, you aren't actually…" Tulin collapsed to her knees, failing to support a kneel. "Dead?"

For a good five minutes, time seemed to stop. Ron and Kai didn't do anything, they were too tense to. They were uncertain if this was part of a plan Zynner had, or if he was actually dead. After those five minutes, Ron was confident enough that nothing would happen that he began to lower the isle, seeing no use in keeping it up. Kai simply kept his head down, feeling a lot of conflicting emotions. "If he's dead, that's good, right? He can't continue that clothing brand and… whatever else he had planned." Kai thought, trying to reassure himself. "This is good. It's a good thing. I didn't kill an innocent man… right?" Kai could be seen intensely staring at the ground, his fists clenching. "Yo, bro." Ron walked up to Kai. "Look… even if he is dead, we should be able to bring him back somehow. You know Klint, he's always got something for something. Maybe he could help, if you really feel that bad about it." Ron chuckled. "Man, you're soft for a hero. Besides, we've killed people before, this wouldn't be your first time." Kai smiled faintly. "Remember that alien army? At least 600 of those guys were dead by the time they tried to retreat!" Ron said, trying to cheer up his little brother, even if he knew it was a futile effort. Kai doesn't just shrug off these kinds of things, these intense emotions and moral conflictions. "Plus, he was a very dangerous man. It would be different if you killed a civilian, but he's gotten civilians killed. The mech suit. The rock clothes. And all of the small crimes he's orchestrated." Tulin could be heard sobbing, some of her tears floating from the upward force. They reconnected the isle with the Earth. "Besides, I know he's tougher than that. I've got a feeling he isn-" a rumble could be heard from the diamond window. Tulin turned around halfway, so that she could turn her head and show half of her face, and grinned. And almost as if he woke up from a nap, Zynner got up and stood beside Tulin. He clapped his hands, also grinning.

"Bravo, bravo! That was a great performance! Especially at the end there. King Kai, I didn't know you had that kind of power!" Zynner said, throwing off the brothers. Ron and Kai snapped their heads in his direction. "And the dramatic monologue from the big brother at the end! Man, I should've gotten that on camera! That would be a blockbuster!" Zynner was smiling proudly, talking as if he wasn't just hit with all of the force Kai could muster. "Shit, I thought I killed him, how is he unphazed?!" Kai thought, wearing a distressed expression. His suit ran out of power, as it was all used up in that finishing blow. It reverted into a helmet. Kai's face went from concerned to frightened, and this time, everyone could tell. "How tragic! Your only hope of beating me is gone. Now this, I didn't expect!" Zynner said with a smile, matched by his assistant. "Now then…" Zynner perched on the bottom of the rectangle where the window once was. In the blink of an eye, Zynner punched Kai in the stomach, making him collapse. With him, he carried a powerful gust of wind that sent Ron to the other side of the room. Ron backflipped and flew at Zynner immediately, a fist ready to collide with his chest. Zynner, however, caught his fist and pulled Ron towards himself. He then punched Ron upward before sending him back down to the ground with a gust of wind. As he was pinned to the ground, Ron looked in the eyes of his brother. He was knocked out cold. Ron, however, would soon join him, as Zynner axe kicked his head, using the force of the wind to give him more power. "Tulin, take Kai away." "What about Ron, sir?" "Leave him be. He won't do anything when he learns the risk."
