Once inside Qin Feng's quarters, Su Jiyai suddenly moved forward and wrapped her arms around him. Her face pressed into his chest.
"For a moment," she whispered, "I really thought none of us would survive. I thought it was the end."
Qin Feng stood stiff for a second, then gently patted her back. His voice was steady, like a mountain that never broke.
"Do not fear. As long as I am here, you will always survive."
Su Jiyai pulled back a little, her eyes shining faintly. She gave a small chuckle.
"Always so confident." Her gaze softened as she looked at him. For a long moment, she simply stared, as if she was memorizing the lines of his face.
Then, almost out of nowhere, she asked, "Qin Feng… can you copy my power?"
Qin Feng blinked, caught off guard. His eyes darkened for a second, then he nodded slowly.
"I can. But…" His voice lowered. "I could never bear to force you to give me your blood. That is why I never asked."
Su Jiyai tilted her head. "That's all?"
