Chapter 179: New York Is Going To Be Leveled Again?
"Dinglingling" The phone rang with a number Thor had never seen before. Thor smiled slightly and answered.
"Hey, let me guess which old friend is taking the risk to bring me news?"
"The council has decided to drop a nuclear bomb on the Trudheim estate in ten minutes." Nick Fury's deep voice came through.
"Wow? I actually get this kind of treatment?" Thor whistled. "I guess to them, nuclear bombs are a cure-all!"
He had been informed of this decision earlier—half an hour before Nick Fury, almost as soon as the council was making its decision.
"As expected, you already knew." Nick Fury said, "I hope you'll show mercy. Also, try not to leave any traces."
Nick Fury knew more than most and was more concerned about Thor's potential retaliation.
A nuclear bomb to solve the problem? Nick Fury thought it was a fantasy. Back in New York, Thor had flown into the Portal with a nuclear bomb, and there was no pressure at all.
Even if it detonated prematurely, it would likely only enrage him and lead to severe revenge.
"Hahaha..." Thor laughed. This old bastard was much smarter than the council members.
"Don't worry, I'll do my best to control the aftermath."
"Skye, have you resolved the situation?"
After hanging up, Thor turned to Skye, who was typing rapidly on her keyboard.
If she couldn't manage it, he would have to personally deal with the nuclear bomb, but that would affect the effectiveness of the plan.

The national defense system was a military network, isolated from external networks, making hacking impossible.

He pointed to the map, indicating somewhere in the ocean between Hawaii and California.

Thor made a phone call: "Mr. Fisk, there's something that requires your cooperation..."
In a conference room.
"Sir, the missile with the nuclear warhead is out of control!"
"What happened? What's the status now?"
A high-ranking official with four stars on his shoulders barked angrily.
Just half an hour ago, the council had decided to launch a nuclear bomb at Trudheim Manor, despite global disapproval.
Since the manor was located in the suburbs of New York, this would inevitably lead to severe consequences. The council had even planned how to explain this to the public.
Unexpectedly, the missile launch encountered a problem midway.
"The nuclear bomb hasn't exploded; it's just off course, heading southwest. It should land in the northeast of the Pacific Ocean, and it shouldn't affect the mainland!"
