Alex didn't have time to check the rewards, and just grabbed the demon's head, and fled. She ran straight out of the manor at a speed invisible to the naked eye. That was the extent to which her speed had improved. Slightly worried about being chased she threw the extra attribute points she had into speed once more improving her speed by leaps, and bounds.
She swiftly sprinted back into the back alleyway, and straight towards the bounty claiming desk. She pulled out the head of the demon, and glared at the woman at the desk. "Do you see this thing? It's a level 16 Darkness Blessed Demon, and you classified it as an A-Ranked assassination quest, I almost died taking this thing out. You definitely have to increase the remuneration for this quest."
The desk clerk was stunned when she saw the head of such a powerful monster, and shivered. "I don't uh h-have the authority to m-make this decision p-please wait a moment whilst I grab my superior." The desk clerk shuddered timidly.
Alex just nodded as the clerk left the desk. Around a minute later a massive hulking man appeared in her sight, and he looked at the head on the desk in shock. The man suddenly broke out into a flattering grin. "Madam, you actually managed to kill such a powerful creature, indeed you must be very strong, little clerk go increase the remuneration from an A-ranked quest to a SS-ranked quest."
The clerk was stunned, and then nodded before dashing towards the back, and coming back with a massive amount of rewards.
"For completing a SS-ranked assassination quest you will now be considered a VIP guest of Dark Street. Naturally this means you'll experience a lot of benefits like 10% off of anything in Dark Street, and priority over auctions along with many other benefits that can be found on this list over here" The man pointed at a long list on the side of the billboard.
Alex smiled, and simply went off to grab another A-ranked assassination quest. She dashed through the streets of Greenvale Village whilst thinking that this village was anything but simple.
She found Xi, and the two set off to grind reputation points by constantly completing A-ranked quests which usually involved powerful adventurers or mercenaries, or even wealthy merchants. Unbeknownst to them, they had been given the names "Speed Demon", and "Smiling Death" by the various assassins on the Dark Street, and that they had been noticed by a certain powerful figure. They simply kept on doing A-ranked assassination missions, and when those ran out they went for the B-ranked ones. The man who was in charge of the assassination bounty desk walked up to the two of them after an assassination.
"Can the both of you slow down please, at this point there won't be any bounties for the other assassins. You've already gone through 3 years of backlog of assassinations, and although I'm grateful for you guys finishing so many of them, if you keep doing that we'll go out of business." The man didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this situation.
The duo looked at each other before checking their reputation, and upon realising that they had long since reached 5000 reputation they grinned, and said alright before walking right into the manor at the end of Dark Street, and made an appointment with the boss.
