"Is this all you've got?"
Beneath my feet lay a man, weak and unable to move.
"Disappointing. I was hoping you'd be as strong as Qeins when he attacked me… but in the end, you're no different from the usual failed experiments."
Kamiya stabbed the student's heart. His body turned into dark particles and vanished.
"I thought you'd need help, but clearly, that was just a pointless assumption."
"...You…"
Rexa appeared at the top of the stairs, dragging a mage. Without hesitation, he tossed the mage aside and stabbed him with a sword.
"I think everything in this building is under control. Is there anything else that needs doing?"
"Aside from the magic runes, I believe we're done."
"Good. I'm honestly too lazy to go treasure hunting right now."
"…Yeah… I feel the same."
As Kamiya's twin spears vanished, he sensed magic gathering in the sky.
"…You should probably head back to Azazel-san."
"Azazel-sensei? I doubt I'd be of much help. He's too strong to need protection anyway."
"You're not wrong."
As more mages began appearing, Kamiya knew it was Vali's turn to take action.
"Hey… something's been on my mind…"
"What is it?"
"…Do you think… Hakuryuukou is a bad person?"
"Vali? Hm…"
Rexa paused, thinking carefully, then answered calmly:
"Honestly, he's a good person. Though I understand why someone would see him as a villain at first glance. But trust me, he's genuinely a good guy."
"…Is that so…"
Kamiya reaffirmed his resolve—to stop Vali if he ever lost himself in battle.
"Thanks for your insight. I don't know much about Hakuryuukou, so this means a lot."
"Don't worry about it. Many people misunderstand Vali."
Kamiya smiled and looked out the window.
"Balance Break!"
"Vanishing Dragon, Balance Breaker!"
'Vali's Balance Break… Looks like it's time for me to act too.'
Spreading his wings, Kamiya opened the window and flew out to face the enemy mages.
Rexa simply stood silently, watching him go, then glanced behind him.
"So? What do you think?"
"…There's something strange about him."
Leon emerged from the shadows, voicing his honest thoughts.
"Even so, I still wonder—how could a pure-blooded demon clan produce someone with angelic genes like that?"
"I don't know. But honestly, surviving discrimination is already a miracle for mixed-race beings."
Leon continued staring at Kamiya flying away, then began channeling his youkai magic.
"Where are you headed, Leon?"
"Just checking the situation."
"I see. By the way, what about Reen?"
"Reen's handling the outside of the barrier. I stationed her there because I had a bad feeling this would happen."
"Yeah, you were right. She even refused to enter the meeting room."
"Her antisocial behavior is flaring up again."
Rexa chuckled and summoned his sword once more. He couldn't quite explain the feeling he had.
"Get ready, Leon. Something feels different this time."
Leon nodded, and the two of them headed toward Azazel's location.

Meanwhile, heavy fighting broke out between mages and the allied forces from the three factions. Unfortunately, our side was being pushed back due to our teleportation magic being blocked.
In contrast, the Khaos Brigade kept summoning more reinforcements.
'Something's wrong…'
The more I feel the flow of demonic and holy energy, the more I sense something's off.
This barrier shouldn't affect demons or angels. In fact, it should have been destroyed by now.
'Someone tampered with it.'
Damn variables again. I truly hate this.
'This attack feels coordinated. If we don't do something, the others won't even get the chance to fight back.'

While Kamiya was busy killing mages, inside the meeting room, the leaders were defending the building from a series of powerful attacks to protect Rias and the others.
"You need to relocate. This place is no longer safe."
"Big Brother, we don't want to run. Let us fight too!"
Sirzech was doing his best to shield Rias and the others from relentless attacks. Even with support from Vali, Rexa, Leon, Sienna, and Kamiya, the number of enemy mages wasn't decreasing—they seemed to multiply.
"Stella, any updates from Rexa and the others?"
"They're currently reducing the number of enemy mages. Reen is outside the barrier, summoning reinforcements and trying to destroy the barrier from the outside."
"Good. Move Sienna near Reen's position so they can communicate. Then go assist Vali."
"Understood."
With protection from Azazel, Stella rushed out at top speed to deliver the message to Sienna and help Vali.
Along the way, she crossed paths with Kamiya, still in the middle of a fight.
Their eyes met for a split second before Kamiya unleashed a high-level spell to clear a path for her.
Stella nodded at Kamiya and continued running.
"Thank you."

With that speed, I'm sure she'll be safe from any attacks.
Now I need to figure out how to reduce the number of enemy mages. They're twice as numerous as expected.
I can't afford to waste my demonic or light energy—this fight is far from over.
BOOM!
'An explosion!?'
That must've been from Katerea Leviathan. She just blew up an entire building. This means it's time for Vali and Issei to step in and finish this fight.
'At least that's what I hope… but I'm sorry, Azazel-san. I'll take Katerea's life before you're forced to lose your arm again.'
I've been slowly gathering all my demonic and light energy to unleash a finishing blow.
But before that...
In front of Azazel stood a woman wearing glasses, a purple outfit, and golden jewelry.
Katerea's sudden appearance shocked Serafall and the other devils.
"I didn't expect the day would come when the three leaders would create a barrier together. How pathetic."
"Katerea… what do you want?"
"Why, Sirzech? I'm here to reclaim the throne stolen from me by that lowly woman behind you."
Katerea furiously pointed her staff at Serafall.
"You, Serafall Sitri, who stole the title of Leviathan… you're nothing but a whore."
"Katerea-chan…"
"Remember this. I'll kill you and take back the title of Leviathan!"
Katerea began gathering massive amounts of demonic energy for a powerful attack. Azazel, however, just laughed casually.
"I don't usually get involved in devil problems, but Sirzech, Michael, Serafall… May I?"
The three leaders nodded and let Azazel step forward to face Katerea.
"Katerea Leviathan, huh? How does it feel to be the most pathetic descendant of the former demon kings?"
"You fake fallen angel leader!"
Their enormous auras clashed, affecting mages and soldiers nearby. Even Kamiya was stunned by the overwhelming pressure.
"H-haha… Azazel-san is really going into his Balance Breaker mode."
With a nervous chuckle, Kamiya realized his mission: to stop Katerea from using her suicidal explosion technique—and keep Azazel's arm intact.
"Boosted Gear!"
"!!"
Kamiya spotted Issei and the others fighting as well.
'Perfect timing.'
Kamiya had an idea. He rushed over to Issei and Suzu.
"You two!"
His shout caught their attention. He created a temporary shield so they could talk.
"Can I ask you for a favor?"
"??"
In the middle of this battle… what exactly is Kamiya planning to ask of Issei and Suzu?

I guess that's enough for today. I still have homework to catch up on.

P.S: Good night.
