Why is it still the old bronze statue, and even the scarf is an old item?
Looking at the feet of the City God, there are quite a few new scarves wrapped around, but the one on his body is very old.
If you don't understand, just ask. Could it be that these believers are insincere?
"What do you know, the City God himself doesn't want a golden statue, nor does he want a new scarf. He said that this scarf was given to him by his disciple before leaving. The bronze statue remains unchanged, also because he fears that when the disciple returns, he wouldn't recognize him, hence he doesn't want a golden statue." A local person snorted: "Our City God is very pleased if you can offer good wine and roast chicken; changing the statue is unnecessary."
"This, isn't it just a story you locals made up? Can the City God even speak?"
