On the naturally beautiful beach, a group of people laughed and chatted until late at night, each drinking and staggering, before finally dispersing.
Sheng Shi held Gu Lanshan's hand and walked step by step along the beach towards the beach house where they were staying.
It was deep into the night and gradually getting cooler, so Sheng Shi held Gu Lanshan in his arms.
The night was so silent, neither of them spoke. After taking a few more steps, suddenly tourists in the distance who hadn't gone to rest yet shouted, "Wow, a shooting star!"
Gu Lanshan and Sheng Shi stopped and looked up at the sky. The stars were bright and clear, twinkling in an exceptionally dreamy manner.
Sheng Shi tilted his head slightly, looking at the little woman nestled in his arms, and asked, "Are you cold?"
Gu Lanshan shook her head, "No, it's rare to see such a beautiful starry sky in Beijing."
"Hmm." Sheng Shi hugged Gu Lanshan closer and, like her, looked up at the star-filled sky.
