Time trickled past, and Sheng Shi remained frozen in the same position.
He didn't know how much time had passed when the heavy door of the emergency room was pushed open from inside.
"Patient lost too much blood, there's no more stock in the blood bank. Does anyone of you have AB type blood?"
A nurse stood at the doorway, eyeing Sheng Shi warily, and cautiously asked.
Sheng Shi suddenly stood up, extended his arm, and said, "Take my blood."
"I am sorry, Mr. Sheng, your blood type is A, and our hospital has a record," the nurse explained.
Sheng Shi wouldn't listen at all, continuing to shout, "I said take my blood, just do it. Did you not hear me?"
As he spoke, Sheng Shi rushed towards the nurse, rolled up his sleeve, handed it to her, grabbed the syringe from her tray, and clumsily placed it in her hand.
